Allure of the Seas is spot on as part of the RCCL family of ships.  There is more than enough to do on this ship for just about anyone.  The Entertainment was very good and the online reservation process makes it easy to plan to see a show.  If you have children there are so many things to do you may not get them all in.

Lets talk logistics.  There are not enough elevators on this ship.   While they are much faster than most once you are on them, when moving 6000 people you find yourself waiting up to 5 minutes to catch a ride at times.   This is especially true when coming back from Shore Excursions in port.  Wait times can be bad if large groups all board at the same time.  (Can you say Labedee).   We even found that when trying to move about the ship during ports of call that there are dedicated elevators that only go to specified floors and you can get on one and not be able to go where you want to go.

WindJammer cafe:  The food here was on par with all RCCL ships.  When serving a buffet for that many people things could be bad but they did an excellent job keeping up with demand.   Part of the reason for that could be the size of the cafe.   I am not convinced that is it is much bigger than on other ships.   This is the first time I have ever had to stand in line to eat Breakfast.  This happened 3 out of the 7 days we were on the ship.  We found it easier to jump the line, grab breakfast and take it back to our room.  This in lieu of waiting for a table in the Cafe.

Main Dining:  The smoking section in the casino is on the Starboard side of the ship and smoke moves out into the aft elevator areas.  You have to go to this floor to get to the main dining room so for dinner you are walking through smoke to get to dinner and also leaving from dinner.  Not all that appetizing.  Try to get a Port side room or at least use the Port side elevator when going to dinner.

Casino issues:  Two main things here.  1)  If you are a poker player be aware that they use the the electronic tables, not real tables with real dealers.  Also their at days at sea tournaments are very minimal.  2) If you are a non smoker you will not like the casino on this ship.  They have it split but the air handling does little to keep the two areas actually split.

All in all a great cruise ship with some minor inconveniences.   We will continue to cruise with RCCL in the future but not an a ship this big.  With no children there is not a large draw for us other than the world class entertainment.  Hope to see the same entertainment on smaller ships in the future.

Food and Dining

Main Dining food was OK. They offer up charge items from the specialty dining at a lower cost than the Specialty Cover price but like all cruise lines they are pushing you to spend more to eat food like we had 10 years ago for free.

Onboard Activities

Same activities as I have seen in the past. Nothing earth shattering here.

World class entertainment. Hoping we can see this on smaller ships as well in the future.

Children's Programs

Did not use.

Service and Staff

Stateroom attendant and waiters were excellent. Every crew member on the ship seemed to be happy to be there and to help in any way they could.

Cabin / Stateroom

Standard balcony cabin. Seemed to lack storage space over other cabins this size we have stayed in.

Ship Tip

Make sure you reserve your Entertainment before you get on the ship. Most of them run limited schedules and not every day. Do not miss Ocean Aria and Blue Planet. Both were very good.

Lots of things to do but I think the prices are a bit high. Not everything is included.
