A magical city at sea!

Sail Date: June 01, 2013

Reviewed: 3 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

Overall\, this ship is a magical city at sea! But\, along with that comes the necessity of managing a crowd of people. Allure does that very well; but the option for spontinaety has been removed. The selection of dining venues is varied and the food is good. The staff and crew are efficient and accomodating. The Master of the ship is delightful! A very visible\, well spoken\, and entertaining Captain!

Pros: The ship is immaculate and beautiful! It is a miracle of egineering! We were onboard with 6\,198 other passengers and rarely felt the presence of overwhelming crowds! We really enjoyed the variety of dining venues\, especially Central Park Cafe\, Vintages\, and the Solarium Bistro.

Cons: We booked our cruise only four weeks before sailing and had difficulty getting reservations for the shows. We missed the availability of walking into a preformance at the last minute.

Recommends Allure of the Seas? Yes!

Ship Quality
Food and Dining
We opted for my time dining\, and didn't enjoy waiting in line! But the other dining venues remedied that situation nicely.
Cabin / Stateroom
The patio room was adequate and appealing. However I would have liked a few more drawers and a small magnifying mirror.
Service and Staff
The staff is great overall! We had an issue with cigar smoke pouring from the cabin beside us. We mentioned the problem to guest services. Two days later they called us and said that the folks next to us didn't smoke! Then what was that brown smoking cylinder protruding from the mouth of our neighbor?
