We had an amazing time on the Allure of the Seas. This is the largest cruise ship in the world. There is plenty to do to keep you busy or you can just relax in a lounge chair and enjoy the view. All of the staff is very friendly and helpful. They have activities that requires guest participation. Be sure to attend these, they are hilarious. If you want to go to comedy night or a show, be sure to make reservations in advance. Limited seating. There is plenty of music and nightlife. A good variety of music and dancing.
If you are single or a solo traveler, they do need to work on that. They had a singles hour, however, not in a friendly welcoming atmosphere and not promoted well. That did not pertain to us, but we did know a few that would have attended if structured differently.
We had an unpleasant experience at the Adagio dining so we never went back. That said, it is a beautiful dining room. I am sure you would enjoy it. There are other dining options (buffets). They have a decent selection. Something for all appetites. There are plenty of nice restaurants on board, however, you pay extra for them. You even have to pay for a bag of popcorn. Just be aware the food is not totally inclusive.
I suggest you purchase the beverage package. There are a variety of packages to choose from.
We stopped in the Bahamas, St. Thomas and St. Maarten. Went snorkeling in St. Thomas and went to the Orient Beach in St. Maarten. St. Maarten is breathtaking. This excursion included lunch. It was a very good lunch with a great staff.
This was my first cruise and I am very glad I chose Royal Caribbean.
