Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

We enjoyed the ports , the shows were great ! Our balcony over boardwalk was nice ,this is the first time we didn't have an ocean view or ocean balcony . I watched the water show twice from our balcony and it was great, we did also see the show from seats . We found it to be very noisy until around midnight every night , that didn't bother us though just saying if you go to bed early don't expect to sleep before midnight . The cabin was very nice , being on boardwalk there was no privacy . I like to open the curtains as early as possible and enjoy the sun , couldn't do this until you were showered and dressed ! would not book a room like this again . We were very dissapointed in the food this time , quality and selection . I love salads and there wasn't much to put on your lettuce , no radishes , nuts, raisins were only out in the morning and hard to find , no boiled eggs , cheese was no where near the salad section . Seemed it was hard to half fill your plate . Deserts were often the same not that we needed that . I loved the doughnuts -  key lime , only out early in the day so if you wanted one in the evening too bad it was closed !  Dinig room dinner was a let down , service was good but didn't have any where near a lasting impression ! Glad this wasn't our first cruise to me the dining room is such a big part of cruising , so much fun and visiting with other guests . we sat at a table of six , one couple never showed up and the other couple had previously booked a package for dining three of the nights in the specialty dining rooms , so we didn't have much of an experience in the dining room , no fault of the cruise line ! Food in dining room seemed to be a lot of pasta , lamb and my husband is one to try anything but I don't think he enjoyed much of the food either .  Shops on board , seemed to be mostly alcohol and high end purses and perfumes .  We did enjoy our cruise , just wouldn't give it high ratings .

Tip

make sure to book all your shows as soon as possible when you get onboard . They are all free but if you don't have reservations you may not get in to see the show and they are excellent so you don't want to miss out !
