Allure of the SEas is Alluring
Allure of the Seas Cruise Review to Caribbean - Western
Sail Date: September 08, 2013
Ship: Allure of the Seas
Cabin Type: Suite
Traveled As: Family (older children)

We are an older couple with over 50 cruises to our credit on most of the major lines.
This was our third on RCCL. We chose the Allure due to it's size and amenities. As we have taken more cruises, we have migrated from inside cabins to balconies, and later to suites. Many lines have extra suite perks, but RCCL beats them all. The Concierge lounge with free drinks in the evenings with a light buffet is the best,
The ship itself is amazing. From top to bottom there is so much to see and do, Would you believe an open air park with walkways flanked with top quality restaurants, Four decks down an indoor shopping mall with upscale shops such as Coach, as well as the regular RCCL tourist memorabilia,
Out back is the Boardwalk replete with a Carousel, two gigantic rock climbing walls, and a zip line. That all leads to an aqua stage with all kinds shows, including the Schrek family.
In a week we did not see all the ship had to offer, we still have not found the ice skating rink! Eateries abound, from free (and delicious) eats, to five star restaurants. We went to the MDR only once, The Windjammer buffet three times and three specialty restaurants.
The entertainment that we saw was super, but there is still more to see! The huge casino captured our attention, and our money, but overall we broke even, in fact we were up a little bit. The stall were always cheerful and very attentive. We saw little o f the Captain and his staff, but they were very visible. In addition the seas were so calm, we did not feel any movement at all.
As we have been to all the ports, the only place we debarked was Labadee in Hatii, their private enclave. It is very well done.
All in all a great week, we are converted to RCCL!!
