This wasn't our first cruise, but the design of the Oasis Class of RCI ships is amazing. The majority of the cabins had balconies, over the ocean or over Central Park of the Boardwalk, which was spectacular. There were so many activities that it was hard to make choices. All public areas (restrooms, elevators, etc) were very clean and accessible. Entertainment was top-notch - production of Chicago on the ship? Unheard of. Oceanaria was amazing and Blue Planet was just beautiful. The food was delicious and we had a meal at Giovanni's and the food just melted in your mouth!! It was a wonderful vacation. We will definitely take another RCI cruise, but this ship will be tough to beat! Thank you.

Entertainment

OUTSTANDING!!! Entertainment was out of this world. The orchestra, the dancers, the singers, the divers, the acrobats - unbelievable!! The orchestra was amazing - the musicians playing the horns were the best in the world. One musician - Jerry Daniel - played, I think, 6 horns on the ship. We actually met him and he was kind enough to answer our questions about the ship, the entertainment, etc. What a great experience to meet the best of the best!!
Thrill activities were great - we tried the zipline, flowrider and climbing wall. All instructors were informative and we had a blast. Thank you.

Service and Staff

Awesome staff. There were only a few times, during the week, that the staff members were abit aloof, but that was quickly overshadowed by other friendly and helpful staff members. We do, however, want to commend the Towel Station attendant, Dube. The women in front of us in line each had 2 towels already checked out but they wanted additional towels. It was an At Sea day and a young attendant told them they could not have another towel until theirs were returned first. Dube overheard the conversation and called the ladies back and issued them towels. We thought that was very considerate and kind. We were At Sea, so it wasn't like they could lose them anywhere on the ship.
At the OceanAria show, it was sprinkling, so several guests had RCI towels. At the end of the show, a staff member had a huge bin to collect the used towels, but I wondered how the guests would be credited for the return. We didn't relinguish our towels because we wanted to get the credit. Thanks.

Cabin / Stateroom

We chose an interior cabin as we didn't plan on spending much time in there anyway. It wasn't difficult for 2 people to maneuver around. Our cabin was forward, but with a ship this size, everyone had to travel to get to various places on the ship. We welcomed the exercise every day! Thank you.

Pros: Activities, Entertainment, Cruise Staff, Food, Cabins

Cons: The weather, which wasn't in any one's control

Recommends Allure of the Seas? Yes!
