Allure was alluring in most ways

Sail Date: April 01, 2012

Reviewed: 4 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

Being that we had gone on the Oasis, it was a bit of the same things. Granted, the Oasis seemed more festive and the Allure was a bit more toned down. The room's beds were the most comfortable that I have ever been on for a cruise...easy, dreamy sleep!!! But, not for nothin'...this was a great ship with lots to do on sea days.

Pros: 150 Central Park restaurant and the Solarium

Cons: Samba Grill and store employees

Recommends Allure of the Seas? Yes!

Food and Dining
The Adagio dining room had GREAT food options and lots of choices. 150 Central Park is an event upon itself and flavors you have never thought about, but will never forget...in a good way. Samba Grill was a total nightmare and a lack of flavors I will never forget...in a bad way (they did refund our money on this one, though). Rita's Cantina was pretty good and the service was good. Johnny Rockets was great and the burgers were huge!!!!!!!!!!
Service and Staff
Dining staff was GREAT, room attendant was GREAT, store clerks in Prince and Greene were deplorable and VERY insulting.
Cabin / Stateroom
Bathroom design was genius as well as the clam shell shower with plenty of room. Shower temp worked great...better than the Oasis.
Entertainment
Chicago was awesome as were Blue Planet and AbbaCadabra. Ocean Aria was cool, but I kinda lost the idea.
Ship Quality
A cleaner ship, you will not find. There were always people cleaning up or dusting. I never saw a mess anywhere. The ship is huge, but easy to navigate.
