Review SummaryThe ship is beautiful! The neighborhoods are wonderful. Ship is always very clean especially when you consider over 6000 guests on board.
We had anytime dining for dinner. I recommend this.
Suggestion, try to book your shows on line, but that can fill up early. Dont worry if it does, Go to studio B the first day after lunch, you will have to stand on line, but you will get your choices. Arrive 30 min early for each show to get your choice seating at the show but really any seat is fine. But if you have a group larger than 4 go early. Go to every show!! They are all great...
We didnt eat at any specialty restaurants. There are plenty other choices.
Pictures are expensive $20 each. Wait till the last day of the cruise to make your choices. The photo shop has a facial recognition service that places ALL of your family's pics in a binder so you dont have to look for them! That was neat.
Get a good seat in the promenade prior to any event. Get there 30 minutes prior. Consider sitting upstairs in the schooner bar...
The royal connect phones are not worth it. At $30 per phone, I would expect them to work more than 50% of the time. I had mine replaced every day. I was very frustrated. Trixi the communications specialist works hard and is wonderful, but the system or the I phones are bad.
Our servier Simon was the best!
Staterooms are a good size and our attendant always made it look so nice! Plenty of hangers in the closet.
They scan your luggage prior to boarding. So if you bring any bottles on board you will be picking up your luggage at guest services :) they will return the bottle the night before you leave to pack it up.
Check out the lunch in Central Park. The made to order sandwiches and salads are wonderful and there are nice places to sit outside.
Captain Johnny can be seen often on the ship riding his motorcycle.
I did the zip line. It was fun, short line too.
Considering the ship was full, over 6000 guests, it really never felt packed. Plenty of quiet spots to sun and read. Pool areas are full with children as it should be, but there are choices for adults to sunbathe and swim too!
