Allure of the Seas Eastern Caribbean!

Sail Date: May 15, 2011

Traveled As: Family (older children)

Room Type: Balcony

Ship is absolutely magnificant. The crew and shore personnel do an excellent job of keeping everything moving from check-in to departure. We did hardly any waiting. The biggest line was the one through US customs. If you love to shop, this ship is the place. Casino felt small for a ship this big. Although there are four pools, they get very crowded during sea days. Dining room service was fantastic and the standard food was excellent.

Pros: Very clean ship with lots to do.

Cons: Port visits were short.

Recommends Allure of the Seas? Yes!

Entertainment
Good selection and diversity of shows and activities. Ice skating show was excellent. Headline show was good. Musical shows were okay but I am not big into broadway productions.
Ship Quality
Huge ship with something for everyone! Ultra clean with plenty of deck space even for the large number of passengers. Rock wall, ice skating, zip line, mini golf, basketball, flow riders and four pools each with their own theme. Bars galore with plenty of shopping and a casino. Plently of speciality restaurants to select from.
Food and Dining
Main dining room food was awesome. No need to go to speciality restaurants unless you want to spend the extra money!
Cabin / Stateroom
Rooms were very clean but somewhat small. Shower was like being in a MRI tube!
Service and Staff
Our waiter and assistant waiter were the best! Excellent service every night. Highlight of the trip.
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas
Awesome island. Lots to do. Some of the best snorkling and scuba in the caribbean. Go to St. Johns while there!
Don't Miss: St. Johns
Nassau, Bahamas
Stay here is way to short to do anything of significance unless you fell like getting up at 5:30 am. We left port at 1:30 pm. Not much to see in Nassau any way unles you go to Atlantis.
Don't Miss: Atlantis
Philipsburg, St. Maarten
Constant street vendors on the beaches but what island doesn't have these. Small island with limited spots to visit.
