Just back with a tan! by KathyF10

Sail Date: / Traveled As: Family (older children)

Loved the Jr. suite and will splurge for that again! Ship was clean but shows signs of wear. Nothing was really 'bad' or 'wrong', it just wasn't all the way up to our past experiences with other ships.

Relaxation on the High Seas by JakeV

Sail Date: / Traveled As: Family (older children)

This being my family's fourth cruise, we went on board with very high expectations. The ship is in very good condition for being 6 1/2 years old. The ship itself is huge, and there are a lot of people, but depending on your preference, you may like being with so many other people and having the opportunity to participate in so many different activities. The food in the dining room was the best I have ever had on a cruise ship (been on Celebrity, RCI and Costa). For my complete review, you can go to cruisecritic.com

Beautiful and Enormous by MarienT

Sail Date: / Traveled As: Family (older children)

I just finished my cruise on the Adventure of the Seas, where I took my 18 yr, old daughter for Spring Break. We had a beautifu balcony cabin on the port side of the ship, which was great, because in every port we had great views. The service on board is remarkable. I could say outstanding! The ship is too big and too many people, but I have to admit that everything runs very smooth for the amount of travelers on board. There is not much happening for teens on board, so my daughter had to fend for herself. The food was a very different story with the ship. The food WAS HORRIBLE. The food at the cafeteria all day service called "The Windjammer", was almost impossible to eat and their breakfast was as bad as the rest of the day. Food at the main restaurant was pretty bad, so we booked a couple of nights at their "paying" restaurant "Portofino" and the food was good for the $20.00 p/p you have to pay. Half of the ports of calls were closed for one reason or other. Our agent (AAirlines) did not inform us and after one day at sea to arrive to a port where everything is closed is really a big downer.

Awsome Cruise, Terrible food by JeffR9

Sail Date: / Traveled As: Family (older children)

The Adventure of the seas is an amazing ship with the promenade being beautiful and the three floor dining room being stunning, but the only down side is the food. The menu was horrible 5 of the 7 nights. Also, the quality of the food was very unimpressive. But other then that, it is amazing, tons of things to do, great places to go, the adventure of the seas is a great, fun, family cruise to go on.

Yes, I like cruises but the customer service was NOT what I was used to. With that said I made the best out of the cruise. The ship was beautiful but the customer service was not what I was used to

This was always my favorite... by lrgd

Sail Date: /

This was always my favorite ship, i've been on her 4 times , the last time was last dic. It was a bit different, the staff were friendly the food was good but in some way it wasn't the same. There was no " welcome back" or special feature for returning guests. It's ok i guess but we were waitning for something special and it didn't show up. Anyway was a great trip.

Magnificent ship, large but very accomodating. Our rooms overlooking the promenade were more than adequate.

Great Cruise by JoeD9

Sail Date: / Traveled As: Couple

Jr Suite was much bigger than other cruise liners and very comfortable. There are areas on the ship where children just don't go....so if its a getaway from the kids, this is the ship. After seven days, I wanted to stowaway and start all over....

One of My Best Cruises! by KevinE

Sail Date: / Traveled As: Singles/Friends

I was in Awe with the size of the ship! It is a very extravagant ship and massive in size! The service and ship made the trip well worth it and I may actually do the same ship and itinerary again!

Don't go out of San Juan by JerryL2

Sail Date: / Traveled As: Family (older children)

this is the second time on this ship and this ship is beautiful. However, passengers (mostly Puerto Ricans) made this an unpleasant experience both times on this ship. They took over every possible space, were loud and rude. During the shows, they talked over the performers and the last show was totally in Spanish. They dressed inappropriately for dinner and came very late to their seating. The food has been downgraded and not up to the standard we have come to expect from our many cruise experiences.

Wonderful Ship and Crew by RickR4

Sail Date: / Traveled As: Singles/Friends

This was our second time on the Adventure and we still love the ship and its fantastic crew. Being Diamond Plus with 31 cruises, you would think we got the royal treatment, and you're right. But our friends were treated like the royal family as well and loved everything too. OMG, we experienced the best waiter we have ever had. If you run into Bircan, you've got it made!

Good Cruise for the Money by LF82597486

Sail Date: / Traveled As: Couple

The ship is beautiful, we have been on this ship 5 times and basically use it as a floating hotel. We go to each port and enjoy the great beaches.

EXCELLENT SHIP, GREAT ENTERTAINMENT by Shellie

Sail Date: / Traveled As: Couple

This ship is really something! It is amazing! The entertainment couldn't be better! There is an adult area to escape the chaos of children. There is an ice ring on the ship and they have fabulous ice shows at night. Exceptional food. OVERALL AWESOME! Excellent ports! Be sure to give yourself time in San Juan!

Overall C+ by YvonneB1

Sail Date: / Traveled As: Couple

We found the ship to be clean while in need of carpet replacement (they were trying to get this done as a matter of fact, during our sailing). The ship offers many areas in which to relax and or to get lost...the lounge/bar areas are comfortable and they provide soothing music. The gym is positioned at the rear and walking on the treadmill while in motion is quite a challenge however, the spa area with the wet and dry steam room is a real treat...you actually feel like you're away in an upscale spa..very nice. A bit about the guests that board from Puerto Rico...if you're looking to spend a relaxing, not so loud vacation on a ship, DON'T board in Puerto Rico. The majority of the guests were from the island and while it's wonderful to see folks having a good time, it's not so great when they impose their energy onto others...for example, they were loud in the elevators, the dining room, hallways, hot tubs, spas, everywhere! Why must anyone yell when the person they're speaking to is right next to them? I'm of Hispanic descent so no, I'm not prejudice, I just happen to have manners and know the difference between a back yard BBQ, and a cruise ship.

Didn't meet my expectations by DebbieC14

Sail Date: / Traveled As: Couple

Adventure of the Seas is a beautiful ship with an awesome itenerary. However, we were not expecting to see almost 1/2 of the cruisers to be from Puerto Rico most paying only $200 per stateroom while we paid several thousands of dollars for a stateroom and this was our 7th cruise. To add injury to insult, they receive coupons and vouchers for free/discounted drinks and merchandise. However, RCL is seems to be shooting themselves in the foot, because they expect the Puerto Ricans to tip RCL employees like everyone else does, AND THEY DON'T, according to some loyal RCL disgruntled employees that we spoke to. Things need to change if they want to continue to be an "upscale" cruise line.

Wonderful Time on the Ship by GinaC5

Sail Date: / Traveled As: Couple

I have sailed with Royal Caribbean 3 times 1st time on this ship. I have sailed 2 of their smaller ships so I had something to be excited about with this ship being much larger. The ship was very clean and we never experienced and problems what so ever. My husband had never cruised and was unsure about it until we got on the ship and he was ready to go again. We made some really great friends on the ship that we still keep in contact with today and that was in 2003. I would recommend this ship and the food in my opinion was excellent. Johnny Rocket's was great if you wanted something to eat and not having to spend a lot of money on the islands. (Done that before, big mistake) I really enjoyed this trip and the ship and would go again in a minute.
