what a mess by MichaelV3

Sail Date: / Traveled As: Large Group

The islands were great. The dining staff and food was great. The pool and the way the deck was set up was nice. The stateroom had mold in the shower. The balcony had mold on it. The curtain had chocalate on it. The customer serice rep was rude and thought that 2 and 2 was 22. I have been on 5 royal caribbean ships in my life and this may be my last. The ship and staff are not child-friendly. I would recommend carnival for kids compared to this ship which I would have never done in the past.

WOW ** What a Hugh Ship by PaulaW3

Sail Date: / Traveled As: Family (older children)

My fiancee and I have cruised on the Explorer of the Seas and just this year in July 2006 we went on the Largest ship in the world "Freedom of the Seas". I really enjoyed both cruises and would recommend anyone who wants to have a vacation of a lifetime to settle for no other cruiseline than Royal Caribbean. The staff is always willing to help and the food is out of this world. There are too many nice and wonderful things that I could say but to keep it short.. JUST GO.. and you will see.

What A FUN Ship!! by TammyK4

Sail Date: / Traveled As: Large Group

This was our third cruise with RCCL and we absolutely loved the Adventure of the Seas. It is the largest ship we have been on and we were very concerned that it would seem crowded. It was quite the opposite. We never felt crowded like we did on the smaller ships. There was always things to do or you could find a quiet spot to sleep and read. I would definitely recommend this ship. In fact, I am returning in October!!

The Perfect get away by MauriceC1

Sail Date: / Traveled As: Large Group

We loved all the nightlife options. The shows were great., the Champagne Bar and the live music at Schooner's Pub. Our stateroom was cozy. Lots of storage. easy to unpack and fell like there was a place for everything. Overall we have to say the ship was really impressive, the staff was wonderful.

Awesome memorable cruise by KathleenC6

Sail Date: / Traveled As: Couple

The ship was beautiful, the crew friendly, excursions very memorable, we actually swam with the stingrays!! Food was fabulous, ice show was much more than I ever imagined it would be. Our table mates were so much fun and we still keep in touch with each other via emails. Loved the ports of call, St. Thomas, St. Martin, Antigua, St. Lucia and Barbados were just lovely.

"Our Trip of a Lifetime" by JoyceM8

Sail Date: / Traveled As: Couple

Totally awesome! This was our fifth cruise in 4 years and our first 7-night cruise on Royal Caribbean. After being (we thought) was spoiled by another cruise line, we were unprepared to shift our alliance and loyalty to RCL, but The Adventure of the Seas was by-far the most wonderful ship we could ever imagine to sail on. The Promenade gave us the true feel of Paris, the theatre gave us a flare of Vegas, Johnny Rockets brought back warm memories, etc.

Can't wait to go again!! by Kim6

Sail Date: / Traveled As: Couple

Simply remarkable! From the moment we wake to fresh coffee delivered to our room, and look out the balcony at the sun rising over turquise water, to midnight strools or dancing under the stars while sampling gormet delights, it was remarkable. Of course, there are as much or as little to do as you want in between. One tip I learned this cruise was to wait and have my gowns and my husbands suits dry cleaned the first day on the ship. This way they are not wrinkled from packing, and the cost was about the same. We also order a bottle of wine to have in our room. This cuts some cost and is more convienent. We love cruising on these ships.

Perfect Cruise by MaryP18

Sail Date: / Traveled As: Family (older children)

The Adventure of the Seas was an excellent ship. Immaculate inside and out. Quality service is the goal of RCI and that is seen in every aspect. The intent of the staff is to make this an enjoyable experience that people will want to repeat. It worked. We will definitely consider future cruises with RCI

Best ship ever! by KoriZ

Sail Date: / Traveled As: Family (older children)

It was great. I have never seen a more beautiful ship. Just about every place onboard has a theme. The casino, dining rooms, solarium and promenage were absoulutely gorgeous! YOU MUST GO SEE THE ICE SHOW! Even though all the shows were great and the comedians actually funny, this was the best show. These skaters were real professionals. What I probably like best is that there was always something to do. I played mini-golf, swam in a wave pool, sat in a hot tub, rock-climbed, ice-skated, played basket ball, roller bladed, and completely pigged out! There was a lot to do for the older generation too. Many bars and lounges, an adult only spa, library, live music on the promenade and in lounges. The staff was very patient and friendly. Were willing to change your food on any complaint. Loved the towel animals. One time we came back to our room and found the towels in the shape of a monkey hanging on the ceiling! Little kids will love it too. Special center, water slides, kiddie pool, ice cream, other kid friendly food. HOWEVER, DON'T GO SHOPPING ON BOARD! You'll find things much cheaper on shore. The $10 sale day was OK though. Really hope this helps you make up your mind and go on this cruise!

Everything is very bright and exciting. The cruise director aboard is great to, a very funny and energetic young man. Thanks for making this cruise even more memorable Richard!

Disappointing Cruise by calisunshine200

Sail Date: / Traveled As: Couple

We recently sailed out of Puerto Rico on December 1st on Royal Caribbean's Adventure of the Seas. We  have sailed a few times previous on the Allure of the Seas the past few years. Are expectations on the Adventure of the Seas was very high, but only to be let down by a series of events and problems. The ship had many items missing early on the trip to include Cream of Wheat and Bloody Mary Mix, both are simple items and I was told they are out of by the crew members when I attempted numerous times throughout the week to order. We also enjoyed the wonderful Smoked Salmon on the Allure, but the Salmon that was presented in the dining hall was beyond sub par. It looked and smelled old. It had a very brown dried out appearance. On two occasions we both ordered cheese omelets and they forgot to put the cheese in, asked for a red apple as there were only green ones out and the server forgot and remembered the next morning when she saw us.

We are a family that works out everyday and eats very healthy. This ship had minimal foods to eat on the healthy side. We attempted to eat in the Wind Jammer but it was roughly 95% foods that made no sense to someone trying to eat healthy unless you wanted plain salad everyday. Many times in the gym when working out there where no trainers in the gym at all. We witness many teenagers playing around on the treadmills turning them up and running on them horsing around where they and others around them can get seriously injured. There was no trainers or helpers to witness this or put a stop to this.

.A very large group of people had there own agenda in taking over portions of the ship. The main floor which is the Promenade at times would break out in music played by a woman singing songs, playing her own guitar and hundreds chanting around her. Some of the people had spoons they would clap together with the music. They blocked the walking area of the promenade as you couldn't get through the crowd. They gathered right in front of the food area on the promenade and it caused people to skip stopping there because they couldn’t get to the counter. I know this because I was seated at one of the tables just prior to the festivities. This can't be allowed and there were many workers that said nothing, some even joined in the clapping and chanting.

The Show times in the evening were not conducive for us to attend. Only on sailing days which on this cruise were 2 days. We never had this problem on the Allure. On this cruise the shows were either 7pm or 9pm. We were at  port till 4:30pm. We then workout out in the gym till 6:30pm then shower, dress for dinner and its now 8ish and our seating for dinner is 8:30pm. How can we possibly see a show? This never happened on the Allure. as shows were at 10pm. The 2 shows we did see were the same show. They repeated the first nights show the last night.

To sum this all up the Cruise Experience was very disappointing and not up to the standards of the other Royal Caribbean cruises we have been on. If this is what I have to endure sailing from San Juan, on Royal Caribbean we will have to reconsider and even reconsider sailing with you in the future from other ports. I would greatly appreciate you looking into this sailing and getting back to us.
