Can anyone tell me if VOOM is worth the money? How good of a signal do you get on the ship? Thank you! I’m on the fence about it......................

Cruising for Color by JerrKat2

This was our first New England / Canada cruise and it didn't disappoint. The only thing we couldn't control was the weather and while it rained a couple days, the ports were easy the navigate and there was enough to do to keep them interesting. The ship while clean is showing a little wear. The food options on board were abundant and tasty. Our stateroom attendant, dining room waiter and assistant waiter were all top notch, as were all the bar staff. My only complaint with the cruise was the extremely slow wife connection. I believe if you charge a fee for something, it should work and while you could eventually get email and facebook to work - it took way too long.

Beautiful Fall East Coast Cruise by schneidejoseph

Beautiful ports of call. The colors are more intense further inland, so be sure to plan some excursions if fall foliage is your goal.

Fab route, ship needs some help with logistics. by CruzerGuys

Sail Date: / Traveled As: Couple

2 elevators out the whole time. This seems to be the norm for the past few months. The 2 that were out the whole trip were working on departure day!! Organizing large groups of people never seemed to go very well for the crew, especially with excursions and getting people off the ship. A bit of a mess. Also, when leaving and returning to ship, more times than not there was only one station working to scan people out and in. And then the fights for the elevators.... NOBODY from RC seemed to be interested in helping to organize the large number of guests needing to use the elevators to return to their decks. "Every man for himself", the hell with any mobility impaired guests!!

Interesting Fall Cruise by Suzyqoh

Sail Date: / Traveled As: Large Group

Loved it. First cruise in 18 years. Could skip Prince Edward Island and trying to do Cabot Trail in Sydney. Instead, would rather spend more time in Bar Harbor, Halifax, Boston. Unfortunately, fell and had to leave ship in boston, so missed last 2 days. Medical team on royal Caribbean did a great job stitching me up. Sorry I had to miss Portland!

Fantastic experience by markcjohnson

Wife is in a power wheelchair, so our needs/experience probably different from most people. We had a good time and are glad we went. The crew and fellow cruisers were kind, helpful and patient when we took longer than most to get places. The room and ship were accessible with no problems. Great trip! RCL does not offer many options for accessible excursions, is my only complaint.

Novel fall cruise by revruss

All ports have shopping and food within walking distance. Sydney is a relatively underdeveloped tour stop. Tours will fill up well in advance. Food is mostly repetitive.

Mostly Good by peperc

Sail Date: / Traveled As: Singles/Friends

I was worried about getting enough drinking water in my stateroom. Fortunately there were two Coke-type machines featuring a water option not far from my room. I found the ship a little difficult to find my way around easily. The wall screen guides were mostly helpful. The entertainment was OK except for the overly-loud singing. I found the comedy to be the best part.

Adventure of the Seas NE cruise by kkirschner8

This was our fourth RCI cruise; we've cruised 12+ with other lines. The food is really not good. The dining room food was bland and seemed like the same entrees were offered throughout the cruise. The buffet was over-crowded and unappetizing. The specialty restaurants were only slightly more appealing. Overall, the dining areas seemed under-staffed. We enjoy having a nice dining experience when we cruise (quality vs quantity) but that didn't happen on this cruise. The ice skating show was fabulous and comedians in the theatre were really entertaining. Unfortunately, the regular Lyric theatre shows were a notch above a high school production. It'll probably be a while before we try RCI again.

Somewhat of a disappointment by biandrews

Sail Date: / Traveled As: Couple

This was an okay cruise. At this time of the year, there was no color in the trees, definitely no fall foliage. Unfortunately, Royal Caribbean has steadily offered less and less over the past five years as far as service when it comes to their Diamond Members. They had a Diamond lounge that comfortably would accommodate 50, and there were 700 Members. In other ships, they shut down the Crown Lounge to the public so Diamonds would have enough space, but they did not do it on Adventure. There were no enrichment lectures.

Where to start. First time in a long time that the crew has been rhis friendly. Passengers were friendly. My only negative was that I wish there was more of a selection of food at the windjamner. Entertainment was incredible

Just returned from a 10... by Gtidan

Sail Date: /

Just returned from a 10 night new England/Canada cruise on the Adventure of the seas The ship was nice, clean and well staffed by a friendly crew. Yes, it's showing its age but overall well maintained. Passengers: As for the people we came in contact with many were from the south and were easy to spot with their 'down home' dress. You'll find them mostly in the buffet at night because as one told us 'they felt uncomfortable in the MDR'. That said we met many interesting people resulting in some wonderful chats. We enjoyed all the ports and did our own thing while there. Getting on and off the ship was a snap. 30 minutes top for both. We ate all meals in both the buffet (breakfast) and the MDR for dinner ( my time). The food was pretty good with the prime rib outstanding. Shows: RCL shows as usual sucked but the others were not bad. The magician was easily the best. Cons: Drink prices are off the chart and were small in size. The least expensive bottle of merlot wine cost us 33 dollars plus the mandatory 18 percent tip. We can buy the same (Robert Mondavi) here at home for 6.99 on sale. This was our 15th cruise and with this in mind we would recommend both the ship and the itinerary. Keep an open mind and you'll have a blast..

A solid "B" but wanted an "A". Bar Harbor and Halifax were amazing. Portland and St. John's not so hot. by thedoor323

Food service staff was excellent. Food quality served was only average very cafeteria style, main dining portions were very small (example: one carrot and one broccoli sprout was the side dish). Felt like they were always steering you to places to pay extra for what you already paid for. (did not have to pay for a burger and fries at the diner on my other cruise - they were included and unlimited) My Cruise with a different company had far superior food for the same price average. This Balcony cabin compared well to my other cruise on a different line. Cabin was well cared for but impersonal service compared to other ship. Recreation staff was A++ I'd give them a B to B+ over All. Probably will book another cruise line. Excursion was over priced and a poor experience - not worth it. Wandering around ports brought better fun and experiences.

Good trip, food has slipped on Royal by millse

We enjoyed this cruise but were disappointed with the food in both the main dining room and the Windjammer. We have always enjoyed Royal Caribbean cruises and typically have found the food to be adequate but not special. This time I cannot even say it was adequate. The dining experience was not up to par for the quality we have experienced. I am not sure if the goal is to be mediocre and that will get people to eat in their premium restaurants, but the food quality and selection was not as good as we have experienced before. Other than that, the cruise met our expectations. The ports were very good. The entertainment except for the last comedian was excellent. The Adventure of the Seas has an ice rink and that show was outstanding. The service as always was over the top. But, since dining is such an important aspect of cruising, we might have to rethink cruising on Royal Caribbean in the future.

We had a amazing cruise with the grandkids. Great memories were made on the Adventure of the Seas. by JW

Sail Date: / Traveled As: Family (young children)

Amazing experience for a cruiser, new and old. This is our 11th cruise, we had grandkids age 7 and 9. They enjoyed every activity the ship had to offer for their age. The top favorite was kids camp, they made new friends and learned how to ice skate! The shows and food was also good.

Great trip to New England by Hxxx

Not our first time cruising, but the first time we were not headed to a beach location. The ship was huge with plenty to do - just finding our way around took time. The staff was polite and attentive and the ship was clean. We had a nice stateroom with balcony and enjoyed the views coming in and out of ports. Food was plentiful (of course) and the excursions really gave us a taste of the various ports. Five stars!
