Review summary

FORGET THE 4.2 RATING! This was the worst cruise I’ve been on. Rating it Fair to Poor because I wasn’t given accurate information BEFORE purchasing. Pretty much ruined our trip. I could have read, eaten, watched tv and lie on a balcony at my apartment. UGH. Please REFUND my money or GIVE me a free cruise of equal value. The staff are who made this cruise what it was…tolerable until we could return to shore. Definitely NOT 4.2!!!

I am VERY IRRITATED that 2 different RCC reps told me the Saunas WERE OPEN…that’s the primary reason I booked! I never planned to go off the boat. I wanted to really relax. I was so upset that I was given inaccurate information. RCC OWES ME A CRUISE.

RCC STAFF: Outstanding people! CONCIERGE - Raphael Soares: excellent, very helpful and attentive! WINDJAMMER Dining: Sanjay, Prama, Bagus & Santosh(?). SAPPHIRE Dining: Mary, Ali, Francisco & Jean Paul Moutou. HOUSEKEEPING Staff: Allan Bars truly excellent service. DISEMBARKING: Kristine very helpful getting our wheelchair.

PRO: 1) The room was generous in size and nicely decorated. 2) AC & Heater worked very well. The bed was comfortable. 3) Bathroom was lovely and the soaking tub was wonderful except for foul odor. *Allen - our room steward was fantastic and very helpful! CONS: 1) The bathroom didn’t vent well and subsequently had a “fecal odor” that permeated the cabin unless we opened the balcony door. And the foul odor kept coming back even after cleaning. Tetyana(?) used a chemical in all the drains and toilet. That helped for a few hours. The stinky bathroom had to become a poor substitute for the saunas. :-( Overall very disappointing although a lovely bathroom. 2) The fridge did not cool. Also not good.

We didn’t leave the ship until final day. Had especially hoped to use the saunas while others were off on excursions. Ugh…

I loved Allen. We were on Adventure in September. We had a wonderful time. I thought the food was excellent.

You are complaining in the wrong place. ROYAL will never see any of this. And they won't refund or give you a free cruise. Chalk it up to a learning experience, and next time, consider purchasing a sauna for your home
