This was our 11th cruise and second on Royal Caribbean. I think RCL was a great value for what we received. We enjoyed the atmosphere on board the ship. We also booked two additional cruises while on board. I would recommend RCL and Adventure of the Seas.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Since RCL Adventure is the Seas is sailing out of Nassau, Bahamas, there is no terminal building. Check-in for the cruise was at the British Colonial Hilton Hotel. The process was smooth. Passengers were given check-in times to keep groups small. Following check-in, passengers were bussed to the pier to board the ship. Golf cars were provided for those passengers with mobility issues because it is a long walk down the pier to the ship.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
The quality of the food across the ship was wonderful. There was a good variety in the main dining room each night. We had lunch on different days at Chops Grill which was a steak and seafood restaurant and Johnny Rockets - a burger joint . The food was very well prepared at both locations.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
The ship had many activities for all ages including a casino, pools, a rock-climbing wall, a fitness center, and the flowrider surfing venue.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The live jazz trio in the Prominade shopping area sounded great. We didn't attend any of the shows in the theaters.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Our wait staff in the main dining room and our room steward was amazing and professional. Other crew members we encountered were always cheerful and appreciative of the fact we were on board.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The crew went above and beyond to keep the ship clean and sanitary.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Our cabin was quite spacious because it was accessible for people with mobility concerns. Four stars because the mattress was very hard and the refrigerator was actually an electric cooler so liquids were not kept very cold. The A/C unit had trouble keeping up with cooling in the hot humid climate. Overall, everything was in working order.
This was our first time at Perfect Day at Coco Cay. We bought a day pass to the Beach Club. It was located right on the ocean. We had access to beach chairs, umbrellas, and lunch was provided. It was a very relaxing experience. There are also places on the island for families and kids such as a water park.
Guests were given disembarkation group times to maintain distancing and we were allowed to stay in our stateroom until it was our turn to leave. Right after leaving the ship, we boarded busses for the airport. Our luggage was sent ahead to the airport where we picked it up. It was a pretty painless process.
Royal Caribbean beds are notoriously hard. They do not have pillow top mattress covers but what they will do is add additional comforter underneath the top sheet and it helps a lot
Sounds like a great time! I am going on the Adventure of the Seas on Saturday and am wondering if you set up the bus back to the airport ahead of time?
