Review summary

We had a great time on our cruise.  The ship itself is nicely maintained, every crew member we encountered was unfailingly polite and accommodating.  The production shows and the ice show were good.  The 70's disco show in the Promenade was fabulous.  We had excellent waiters in the Strauss Dining Room.  Most of the ports of call were very nice - the only exception being Martinique.  While most of the islands that we visited are not wealthy, all of them with the exception of Martinique, made a point of having a port that was clean and inviting.  Martinique's cruise port was grimy, smelly (think raw sewage) and unattractive.

My only complaint about the ship is that although RCI has a policy of removing items from deck chairs if the chairs have been unattended for 30 minutes, it is not enforced.  We became quite frustrated at seeing deck chair after deck chair with a towel thrown over - and no one in sight.  I really wish that RCI would either enforce their own rule - or get rid of it so that those of us who are naive enough to actually play by the rules will know where we stand!

Despite Martinique and deck chair issues,  we had a great time and would love to do it all over again!

The cabin was roomy and comfortable - great location towards the center of the ship. We wish we could have had a small table to place our food and drinks on inside the cabin.

Ship tip

If you want a deck chair, reserve it with a towel - they don't enforce their own rules!

The taxi drivers try to funnel you into one of their 8 passenger vans. You can refuse them and get a standard taxi cab for the same cost as a shared van.

We just got off the Adventure yesterday and they did have a person wearing a "deck patrol" shirt who was actually putting a paper with the time he passed on the chair. One half hour later, he removed the items.
