Many people dont spend a good time on a cruise because they lost the time searching for things to criticize if you lost your time looking for the bad you lose the good.

I've talked to a few friends that have been on the Adventure this year and had quite a different experience.  They said while the ship was older, that it was in decent condition and had a great time on board.

It was in fine shape last March when we were on it and I can't wait until this May to be back on the Adventure.

OP, are you allergic to punctuation? Reading your comments made my head hurt. What exactly did they say no to? Were they reasonable requests?

Maria, they just can't request an immediate drydock. It doesn't work that way. These scheduled drydocks are planned sometimes years in advance because many parts have to be fabricated.  The parts and labor has to be set for a specific time so the work can be done as quickly as possible. Also, there are other ships that may be scheduled at that facility for drydock now.

I know it's getting refurbished in Oct but mean while people like me that paid to go on that ship should not go threw seeing ship falling apart they should take it to dry dock now not in Oct

It's getting refurbished in Oct, Google pictures of Explorer or Navigator, they have both been done, expect similar on Adventure, every ship is its own experience in terms of service on board , we just had a rude dude on Oasis, I guess everyone has a bad day sometimes

kenoboy that's RCCL fault they should fix it before sailing again they are just going to get bad remarks of ship

I wish I took pic of the chairs and toilets and floors so people can see what I am talking about I know it's an older ship I just feel if we spent thousands of dollars on cruise we should get good services this is my 10th cruise and I never had a problem with any of them just this time we did and I just wanted to share so maybe people can wait until after it is re-done

I am not comparing with no other ship I've been on ship before in 2010 and it was in good shape that's why I went back on it again just this time the ship was not in good shape as last time I was on it and was the services too

What other ships/cruises are you comparing this one to?

Sorry to read this, we sailed on her Nov 2010.It was pretty spectacular Inside then.I have many photos to prove it!

The AOS is 15 years old and if you consider the number of passengers that have graced her decks over those years, you could see how wear & tear paid a big blow to her amenities. That is no reason that RCCL shouldn't keep up with the passenger amenities since they are the paying customer. Maybe next cruise you should look into a newer ship.
