I've talked to a few friends that have been on the Adventure this year and had quite a different experience. They said while the ship was older, that it was in decent condition and had a great time on board.
It was in fine shape last March when we were on it and I can't wait until this May to be back on the Adventure.

Maria, they just can't request an immediate drydock. It doesn't work that way. These scheduled drydocks are planned sometimes years in advance because many parts have to be fabricated. The parts and labor has to be set for a specific time so the work can be done as quickly as possible. Also, there are other ships that may be scheduled at that facility for drydock now.

I wish I took pic of the chairs and toilets and floors so people can see what I am talking about I know it's an older ship I just feel if we spent thousands of dollars on cruise we should get good services this is my 10th cruise and I never had a problem with any of them just this time we did and I just wanted to share so maybe people can wait until after it is re-done

The AOS is 15 years old and if you consider the number of passengers that have graced her decks over those years, you could see how wear & tear paid a big blow to her amenities. That is no reason that RCCL shouldn't keep up with the passenger amenities since they are the paying customer. Maybe next cruise you should look into a newer ship.
