Review summary
Even after 10 days of 'dry dock' (renovations etc) the ship was not even near ready for passangers even on the last day of the cruise. Fake plants dangled in empty planters with bags of rocks next to them, crew had entire decks blocked off and were scooping one-inch balls out of the floors by hand, the crews WERE very snotty and acted like you were an imposition to them... the toilets broke and we had to leave our rooms without flushing... we took showers upon getting our room and we were stranded with no towels.... we showed up for two on-board scheduled events, knowing they were paid events, and we were told they were already cancelled because of poor turnout even though we were 15 minutes early already.... overall it was poor service, poor staff and poor, stained accomodations. I've been on 5 other cruises and this was above and beyond the worst. Oh, and the Coco Cay island owned by them - it's just an extenstion of the disappointment on board. Everything is man-made tourist traps and we waited in line over an hour for the grill buffet only to get boney ribs (NO meat on them!) and potato salad that had been in the sun and whipped by sand for two hours. Food on the boat wasn't much better even on fine dining, dress-up night. They did have lobster and nicer steak that was for an extra fee each night. The running joke with our group that was our takeaway that decent things were available, for an additional "Nominal Fee." That might have been fine if the cruise had been much much less expensive. Very disappointed in the end.
