Review SummaryThis was an awesome cruise. We travel the "A" tour, which went to Aruba, Curacao, ST. Maarten, and St. Thomas. The ship was clean and service was great. We have traveled on Carnival before, but this ship was one class above Carnival.
The food was superb. We did the Mystery Dinner at Portafinos on Monday. You don't want to miss it. It is an additonal 30 bucks per person on top of the 20, but well worth it. Fun for all. Wine and champagne included with the price.
The whole ship was super clean. Our only drawback was the timing of the cruise. I guess there was a special thing going on for young girls turning 15, so there was alot of teenagers on board. They tended to be a bit noisy after hours, even though there was a 1:00 am curfew for children 17 and under.
The excursions were wonderful. We took the Harley ride in Aruba (you need a motorcycle license to do this.) One thing though, if you rent a bike thru the Harley shop on the island, you will still get the guided tour, but it will cost you about 100.00 less. And you have a longer ride.
We took the sail to Honeymoon and Christma Coves in ST. Thomas. This was a snorkeling adventure and one of the best we have ever been on. IT includes a catered lunch on one of the islands. We saw sea turtles, sting rays, barracudas, and lots of fish and reef. Not too many people can go on this tour, so it isn't too crowded. The crew of 3 (Dave, Chris and Dana) were just absolutely wonderful. Dana gave a great snorkeling tour. He was full of information and even let us hold some of the sea life. WOW.
I would definitely travel with RCCL again. The service staff is so nice and any request was always granted.
Pros: the cleaniness and great service
Cons: too many teenagers hanging around stairwells
