This was our second cruise with Royal Caribbean. We have sailed also with Princess and Celebrity. I have to say that we will be paying the premium in the future and sailing with Celebrity.
This was the second time with Royal Caribbean that the ship was filled at approx 50% with locals. Crew told us the ship had 1900 locals on board. This was also the second time that our cruise was drastically altered by the locals on the ship. I do not understand the business case of filling up the ship with locals who do not spend the money that loyal customers would have spent. Why not give the big discounts to former customers who will spend the money on the ship.
The second major problem is that customs check has been moved to departure day at San Juan. What a disaster. We walked off the ship at 1pm. UNREAL. There were still hundreds of people behind us. We luckily had 2:15pm flight. I feel bad for anyone that had early flights. ATTN, IF YOU ARE SAILING OUT OF SAN JUAN BOOK LATE FLIGHTS.
Portofinos was good. Warm apple pie and ice cream at Johnny Rockets was the best dessert we had all week. The crew was great. We rated them second to our Celebrity crew.

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Food was what you would expect. I don't think any of the cruises really have the quality of food that was the standard in the past.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Shows were pretty good.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Crew was great

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Ship was in great shape, always clean, and always plenty of chairs at the pools.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5

Pros: Ship was great, crew was fantastic

Cons: Second cruise on Royal Caribbean ruined by locals filling up the ship

Recommends Adventure of the Seas? No.
