Didn't meet my expectations

Sail Date: September 01, 2007

Reviewed: 8 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Suite

Adventure of the Seas is a beautiful ship with an awesome itenerary. However, we were not expecting to see almost 1/2 of the cruisers to be from Puerto Rico most paying only $200 per stateroom while we paid several thousands of dollars for a stateroom and this was our 7th cruise. To add injury to insult, they receive coupons and vouchers for free/discounted drinks and merchandise. However, RCL is seems to be shooting themselves in the foot, because they expect the Puerto Ricans to tip RCL employees like everyone else does, AND THEY DON'T, according to some loyal RCL disgruntled employees that we spoke to. Things need to change if they want to continue to be an "upscale" cruise line.

Pros: Ports of call

Cons: Too many locals (almost 1/2) from Puerto Rico

Recommends Adventure of the Seas? Yes!

Entertainment
Didn't think the entertainment was all that much, especially when they always screamed out in spanish.
Ship Quality
We had a suite on the 10th floor and a terrible sewer gas odor kept creeping out of the drains!
Food and Dining
Have had better on other cruise lines.
Cabin / Stateroom
