Sail Date: December 01, 2006 Ship: Adventure of the Seas Cabin Type: Inside Traveled As: Singles/Friends Reviewed: 11 years ago
Ship was really nice. This is my 3rd cruise with RCCL but my first 7-day itinerary so got a chance to do everything the ship offered. During the 2 days at sea we had plenty to do. I love the royal promenade...our room overlooked it so we had a window view. The dining rooms were very nice and service was excellent. The pool area had plenty of room. They had rock climbing, mini golf, ice skating, volleyball and basketball courts, ping pong, video arcade and golf simulator. They had an awesome night club with the cutest DJ Lochan!
Food and Dining

The chef prepared special Indian food for us every night. It tasted just like food cooked at home with the right amount of spices. Food and especially the desserts were very good. The service was excellent!

The two production shows is something you would find on Broadway and all for free! The ice show was spectacular as were the other nightly performances. Again, the cruise director, Rich Spacey did an amazing job.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
The best part of the trip was the cruise director, Richard Spacey. He was definitely entertaining and very cute. I had a bit of a crush on him :) Very funny (even funnier than the 2 comedians they had) and we loved the productions shows and the ice show. He definitely loves his job and it shows. The dining room staff were excellent. It was so refreshing to here, 'it's my pleasure' and really mean it. The guest relations and exursion staff need some improvement. They need to have more info or have some knowledge about the islands we were visiting. Although they were not rude, it really did not feel like they wanted to help. Every other staff member always smiling and very friendly.

Ship was huge with plenty of room. You never would think there are over 3400 passengers and a crew of another 1200 on board.
Cabin / Stateroom

We were only in the stateroom to sleep so it was fine. Definitely clean and the stateroom attendent was very nice and prompt whenever we called for him. I would recommend better shampoo and soap quality and the bed was really a cot. Overall it was fine
Pros: Cruise Director - Richard Spacey
Cons: Running back to catch the ship - need later dock times
