Bring a drink container
Be sure to take the excursion to the Tropicana on your overnight in Havana. The entertainment and amenities were outstanding. The Adonia was spotless, well maintained and spacious accommodations.
No tips anymore as Carnival has pulled the plug. No more trips of this type.
Be prepared for scaled-down life on a small ship.
Good luck. Ice tea is instant so its not very good. On one ship I made my own everyday. Bring your own tea bags if you want to do that. English breakfast tea is not good ice tea. The buffet food gets cold before you sit down. There are no microwaves to heat it up. Dining room service takes longer.
Don't have expectations of good food. Great diet!
Be very open- minded. The majority of passengers want to talk about volunteer activities and communities. Many have completed missions etc and all were well- traveled. Table conversations were all upbeat and global in orientation.

It was not possible to get internet services when we were on shore. Used 24 hour services on the ship. It met our needs. Fellow passengers said washers and dryers were available . We did not use them. Our sailing was smooth.
Take something for travel sickness or try to stay mid-ship as this is a smaller ship, you might feel more movement. Many activities fill up quickly, so try to sign up as soon as you can. The wine & paint activity on board is very popular, but fills up quickly! They have a beautiful library too!
Small ship (no casino), destination is worth it. However Cuba is very hot, with little AC, and very limited resources on shore - like toilet paper.
SMALL ship sailing. Better know what you are getting into.
