We sailed from the port if Miami which is great only a 10 minute Taxi from the Airport. Instantly we started to mingle with crew and passengers while waiting to board the most friendly group I have ever been around in the travel business. The ship is well maintained with nice features very much reminiscent of a sailing vessel from Europe blood lines. The food was great as you can expect with many servants to keep things flowing and on time. We enjoyed the open dining and first come seating which allowed you to seat with different people every night. While in port there is a crammed pack array of things to do. Free swimming pool dock side with zip lines and lazy rivers. Some shopping, a beach in the next resort accessible by foot and Taxi service to anywhere on the island. You can even rent a car for the day and do some site seeing the Dominican Republic is vast with many cool beaches and proud mountains reaching to 10,000 feet. The volunteer programs are work related with very well placed guides helping instruct and making the journey pleasant. You can do as many or as few as you like the water filter factory is the most rewarding since drinking water on these islands is a premium in relation to income. Over all a very fun and different vacation with options to play dine learn relax and take home many memories. HappyHappyHappy

Use the Big Blue Bus service they will take you around the city and to the airport and store your luggage while you wait for your boarding time to arrive.
