Norwegian Breakaway

November 2016 - Norwegian Breakaway to Caribbean - Southern

Disappointed

We flew in from the UK this being our 1st time in NYC and we sailed 27th November ( My Birthday ) really thought this was going to be something special but how wrong was I

The Bars and Bar staff were wonderful but the whole ship was let down by the Main Dining rooms  they just could not cope , the staff were running round chasing their tails . Our 1st night my Birthday we left the dining room before we even got a desert menu as getting a starter and a main meal took 2 hours .They should keep the Breakaway for the Mini cruises as it cannot cope when the ship is full on a longer cruise

Norwegian Spirit

April 2016 - Norwegian Spirit to Caribbean - Western

Exceeded expectations

Our Very 1st cruise and can honestly say we were so delighted we have already booked a further NCL cruise for later in the Year, from the time we arrived at port to the time we left the ship ( in tears ) we were treated like royalty. Food choice, restaurants and bars were fully staffed and service was impeccable. The Balcony cabin (9020) was kept to a very clean standard by our room steward (Joel ) and the public areas are so clean and a credit to NCL . I would highly Recommend this cruise although Sadly the NCL is going on the European Cruises from Barcelona

scarletsmummy's Tips

Malaga, Spain - Very new cruise port which was very flat and easy to walk
Alicante, Spain - the town is a very long way from the cruise port so i advise you to take the transfer outside
Funchal, Madeira - Gorgeous Place, this was our favourite port of call pretty streets Don't miss the cable car and the Botanical gardens
Casablanca, Morocco - Disgusting filthy place and ship docks miles away from the city , they provide a transfer for $15 per person and all it takes you to is a market place , i would NEVER even get off the ship if ever we came here agin
Norwegian Spirit Norwegian Spirit - be prepared if sailing anywhere near Spain NCL will charge you 10% Spanish Vat on ALL drinks and food Purchases even if you have the packages
Ocho Rios, Jamaica - as you walk out of port turn left walk about 400 yards and on the right hand side of the road is a Turtle Farm Park , Completely free to go in and you can see the Turtles and Giant fish
