Port reviews and tips for 7 Night Mexican Riviera (Los Angeles Roundtrip) on 2018-01-20.

San Pedro (Los Angeles), California Departs at 4:00pm - Jan 20, 2018

"Always love coming into or going out of this port! So easy and convenient! " - Lvflyguy1
"The Port of Los Angeles is a lot more efficient than when we last visited -- we quickly found our luggage, went through customs, and got a taxi and were out of there in mere minutes." - mjslubbock
"If you plan to stay overnight, I strongly suggest the Crowne Plaza. A great harbor hotel very near the port with plenty to do within walking distance around the harbor (Battleship Iowa Museum, Ports of Call Village and a marketplace). The rate is comparable to other hotels not as nice or as close. If you drive, you can leave your car while on your cruise plus they have a shuttle to the ship (there are parking and shuttle fees). Suggest you use Lyft or Uber from and to the hotel...much less expensive than the hotel shuttle." - stefsb

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico Arrives at 10:00am - Jan 23, 2018, Departs at 8:00pm - Jan 23, 2018

"Liked the port! Loved the little shops! Took many pictures of the beauty of Puerto Vallarta. " - goody1518
"This was the highlight of the trip. We hired a taxi driver who charged us $40 to give us a tour of downtown. We really didnt know where to go or, what to do. I asked the driver "if you had a lazy day off what would you do? He took us to a small a town (I can't remember the name). In town we had a local fisherman give us a tour of the bay. Evidently Steven Spielberg has his home here, if this helps. We ended up on a small beach call Las Animas. You can arrove here by boat. OMG the food was amazing!!!!!! We ordered a dz oysters. They literally went to a boat, grabbed the days catch and served us.......I could have had another 3 dzs... amazing!!! " - cycmendoza
"I didn't get to explore downtown Puerto itself. I did the Las Caletas excursion and it was worth every penny. The boat ride out to the beach is a good 45 minutes but as soon as you get onboard they offered beverages both alcoholic and non. The entertainment staff on the boat were amazing and they made 45 minutes feel like 5. The beach itself has kayaking, paddleboarding, snorkeling, and zip lining. Lunch and drinks are also included. Do this excursion, it was a blast." - Aubsliz

Mazatlan, Mexico Arrives at 7:00am - Jan 24, 2018, Departs at 5:00pm - Jan 24, 2018

"When tequila tasting and went to a little town and have lunch and it was awesome" - davekelly
"We did not do an excursion. We jumped in a taxi and he took us to multiple destinations for photo opportunities before dropping us on in the Golden Zone. We explored, shopped and ate some of the best tacos of our lives at a sports bar/restaurant (can't remember the name) before heading back to the boat." - Mariesa77
"Mazatlan was a crazy busy town! Filled with lots of people & packed with all kinds of things to do. Beautiful flower vendors along the main streets, was able to snag a couple rainbow roses. My group also found a vendor who was offering wind surfing which was more than 50% cheaper than anything we could have booked through the cruise! So beautiful & so much fun!" - SaltyHair
