"pls send many prayers to this island *And all hit by the storms * I finally spoke to a friend on this island and it's just a complete mess and devastated . they need our support and prayers. Once they get the port up and running eniigh to hold cruise ships let's all book many trips to these places to give them all the travel and tourism $ we can give . don't worry if the islands can give you a tour etc... lets all think ABOUT what we can bring to the islands to give to them... I know all cruisers are Very generous and wanna help. lets all dig deep into our pockets and help these island's in all the ways we possibly can. " - cruznvacay

"Our favorite port! If you do not have an excursion, follow the wall to the very end and see the gate where travelers would crawl on their knees to the cathedral in Old San Juan and follow the blue cobble stone road to some amazing shops and restaurants. The visitor's center has all of the information you need to decide what to do- and there is plenty! " - slwiebe
"Very blessed the San Juan did not sustain serious damage from Irma and we had a place to return to. The people of San Juan were very kind and generous even though they were cleaning up after the storm." - jmccam

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic Arrives at 9:00am - Nov 12, 2017, Departs at 5:00pm - Nov 12, 2017

"My family and I had so much fun at this port. We went to ocean world, we were able to pet dolphins because we bought the excursion, they wanted to take us on a tour to see all their exhibits but we declined and went to get something to eat, I don't really remember the food, but my fiancé said he had the best hot sauce from there. We ended up checking out their pool which was pretty cool. Then we found their bird exhibit and this was the highlight of our whole trip. We had so much fun there. We were allowed to go in the bird cages and hold the birds, we had parrots put on our shoulders, my 7 year old son and 6 year old nephew held toucans, then we went to a parakeet cage and the workers kept throwing bird seed at us which was awesome because the birds kept flying on to us and just hanging out all over our heads, arms, hands, shoes, 😂 it was so cool! " - jenniferarnol3
"We loved this port. We purchased an excursion to Ocean World with dolphin encounter. Our family truly enjoyed this day. We have 18, 16, 13, and 3 yr old and they all had a great time! I think our surprise favorite part past the dolphins was the bird cages. They were amazing and we all really enjoyed that. We were able to hit every part of this park in the 5 hrs except the VIP beach which I think we would have to pay extra for. We also got great family photos in digital format. Love, love, loved our time at Ocean World! " - mybetty
"Loved this port as well. We toured a little part with some of the natives and would really love to visit again." - shanettd
