We just came back from a trip on Brilliance of the Seas. And yes on the bucket of beer. Buy 4 get one free. About $26 I think. But after doing the math...buy the drink package on line. $44/person verses $55 on the ship. Average cost of a beer and one frozen drink was over $20 a pop.

Does navigator of the sea, sale buckets of beer? If so, how much do they charge?

A few years ago now. They added the flowrider and more restaurants.

This itinerary is new for me. Any suggestions on what beaches to go to? Or any must see or must do?

I've only been on 2 carnival cruises and it's been a while. All I know is I prefer royal. This isn't my favorite ship but it's still really nice. The MDR service is not what I'm use to. Friends that were in this ship with us the last time preferred it to their usual carnival ships. From what I remember the public areas are bigger and nicer. More activities. Less partying.

We've been on 8 Carnival cruises and this will be our first RCCL. Looking forward to reading the comments. The friends we are going with have given RCCL a big build up. Personally I have never been on a bad cruise. Some were better than others! Oh, and please refrain from bashing Carnival when you comment. When I compare the two, I look at what I will take advantage of and the costs. RCCL has a lot of features that I wouldn't take advantage of. That's why I think they are a little more costly.

Any Miami or are hotel recommendations? Do any of the hotels offer parking discounts at the port for staying with them like they do in port canaveral?

We had a promenade on Indy. It really was fine. I'd do it again but I love my balcony!

Awesome! We met a couple on carnival with a aft balcony, loved the balcony but the room was smaller and they really felt the movement of the ship. We prefer the middle of the ship so we opted to try the promenade inside room. Hope we like it, it was 1000 less than a balcony. 300 days is a LONG time lol. Hope it goes fast.

Just got off this ship last week and looking forward to the 9 days aboard! We preferred Adventure but I believe in 2nd chances. Plus the ports, price, and timing was right! Not to mention my aft corner balcony. 😀

Us too! We have been on carnival and princess, so it's time we try RC and see how good they are. I've heard a lot of good things.
