It looks like Princess isn’t confirming Ocean Medallion will operate until November 2018 cruises :( even though they are installing the Ethernet cables and what not required for it in this dry dock.

PNWMolly, well I do not know if I have a favorite. If you are into the show Deadliest catch, the Aleutian Ballad in Ketchikan we have always enjoyed. It is billed and the Bearing Sea Crab fishermans tour.
Juneau the Mendenhall Glacier is always worth seeing. We will usually just walk off the ship and get a ride by mount Roberts tram. I think it was $40 round trip last year. The nice thing is you get to spend as much time as you want as want as the bus runs every half hour. But be warned they are school buses.
Skagway, the train is always nice. We always go to the Skagway Brewery for lunch.

Cruise is getting close, so it’s time to start looking at shore excursions. If you’ve been to Alaska before, do you have a favorite shore excursion?

Looks like we will have a nice shiny freshly out of dry dock Golden Princess. While not officially confirmed by Princess - Golden will enter dry dock in Singapore on March 30 for two weeks before leaving on April 14th for her long passage to Japan, trans-Pacific, Alaska and southbound to Vancouver. Our May 19th cruise is the first northbound of the season. Hoping that the new Ocean Medallion system will be added while in dry dock.
