Does anyone recommend any shore excursions?
Noumea- looking at zodiac to duck island or kayak dumbea?
And mystery island maybe glass bottom kayak if we don't do kayak in noumea?!
Thanks 😎🌴

If we checkin at 11am and it leaves the port at 6:30pm can we go see our room from 11am or we have to wait a while? Just wondering what time we can access our room and get our luggage. :)

Deck 7 with balcony. 3rd cruise. Yes a highlighter is definitely a must and a watch so you don't lose track of the times of events as there are no clocks on board or very little. Have missed many events because never knew what time it was (we turn phones off on boarding and lock in safe). We also take a 12 pocket shoe organizer to hang in bathroom to put all our toiletries in as there's usually not too much space in there. If buying drinks package buy before you go as it's about $10 cheaper per day than when on the ship. Walkie talkies don't work very well on cruise ships and are very annoying for those around you, having to listen to you screaming into them because neither of you using them can understand a thing your saying. Just take a pad and pen and leave a note where you'll be, take a magnet if you want to leave a note for a person in another stateroom as the walls are magnetic. Also EOS has US and EU power outlets Australian cruisers are advised to use an EU adapter this was stated in a brochure that was sent to me and no extension cords or power boards they will be confiscated. So happy cruising all :)

I too am contemplating getting the drinks package. I have found on previous cruises that bottled water is a must. I am so excited!

However prices out of Australia include 18% grats so no need to add

Depends how much of a drinker you are you need to drink 6 drinks a day to break even but it also includes bottled water, Squeezed juice and Specialty coffee 😊

We are going on the tchou tchou train at noumea, then will see what else is available in the afternoon. At mystery island we are doing the modern village tour, sounds interesting. This is our first cruise too and getting just a little excited!

I'm on the same as you. I did do a cruise on P&O in November and did 3 stops. We didn't do anything in Noumea so this time will be booking a day trip. The other two islands we will just be swimming and snorkeling on the beach...its free. A highlighter is an absolute must because you will get a 'whats on' the night before and there is so much stuff to do, you need to mark it off. Its absolute heaven...no cooking meals, doing dishes, making beds etc. Also you will need an American adapter to charge anything. Drinks package is a must if you like a cocktail or two...or latte, bottled water etc. Very easy to spend $69 a day

fsm1612.gmail.com   Jan 17, 2017 - 7:33 pm

Will explore Noumea like tourists , no booked tours

fsm1612.gmail.com   Jan 17, 2017 - 7:33 pm

This is our 2nd with RCI and we're all excited too!! didn't do island tours last year so tossing up between the zodiac ride and glass bottom kayak - possibly do both 😜 our day to day life on the ship is kids in kids club or pool area and us adults eating, drinking and lounging around - already packed my highlighter this trip so we don't miss out on activities from the daily newsletter

fsm1612.gmail.com   Jan 17, 2017 - 2:54 pm

We have booked glass bottom kayak tour in Mystery Island
