We had ours added into our price. I kind of wish I took it out as a couple of workers really stood out to me which one I ended up tipping again myself.

We had 2 formal, 2 tropical, a 70s and a white night and they seem to be the common themes with this ship

Hello Ship Mates!

I'll be embarking on my first ever cruise on Jan 3rd and just like a classic young traveller would do, I've left a lot to the last minute 😩

So I was just wondering if anyone could shed some light on how the gratuities work. As in - can I just pay them when I board the ship or will it be done in the end when my card gets direct debited?

Usually 2 formals however not compulsory to get dressed up to the nines. Just a shirt and nice trousers for guys and nice dress or similar for gals. They aren't as fussy as they once were and you can opt out if you like and choose another place to eat on those nights. ☺

Only 6 months to go! How exciting. With approx 3000 people on the ship you are sure to make lots of new friends. Are you going with family or friends or alone? I am going with a group of family and friends, about 25 of us in total. Look out for us we will be the clowns who are all wearing the same shirt lol.
