Yes, travel summary lists 2 formal nights.

Contributor Level: Deck Hand

Have read there is 2 formal nights. As for theme nights, apparently they are not a big deal on Princess. Seems to be a country western theme, and maybe rock n roll. I had trouble finding info too so not 100%

Is anyone on Deck 10 who is in an interior cabin that can accommodate triple but is only booking for twin? Those will be c248, c249, c252, c253, c256 and c257.
We just need to swap our twin room with another one that can accommodate a third person

The cascades are lovely if your mobile and they have water which they didn't in November. The turtle santuary is good there is also a canoe trip or you could go on the snorkeling tour. It all depends if you can handle the heat, your mobility and age. We are in the older age bracket and have been to Vila many times so we now just walk through the market ignore the people trying to get you to go with them we get a water taxi from the end of the market go over to the town $5 each we than walk around the town finishing at the duity free on the left just past the roundabout get our duity free alcohol than 2 door further on is the Anchor Inn where we have a few beers and listen to the local music watching the helicopter take of and land.

Anyone have clues about electrical on board?

I will be bringing a brand new electrical powerboard. After reading other threads it won't be surge protected. However, is overload protected similar, as finding a non surge protected with a long lead is a hard find.

Cheers

Steve

Christmas and New Year over. Sydney fireworks were spectacular we went into Sydney early to get a good position to watch the fireworks set up our chairs and sat for 14 hours watching the days events unfold a great day but not for the faint hearted. Not long now only 18 day until we are all on Emerald Princess starting our wonderful 11 night cruise. Just a bit excited !!!! Cheers

Well here we are. 40 days to go. Take away the forthcoming Christian Festival and New Year and the cruise will be upon us before you can say "Pack up the tree for another year"!

I thought this chat would be more active by now. C'mon cruisers let's get some discussion happening.

Finally, I won't be able to meet any of you until the cruise, so wishing you and yours the very best for an amazingly Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Stay safe folks.

stevekirby   Dec 02, 2016 - 7:18 pm

The 'Grumpy Old Fart' is not offended. Simply making an observation that the cruise at this time of year would be more devoid of the younger gens than at holiday time.

Graeme, we must catch up at some stage for a bevvy or six. Being Victorian, my tastes are different to yours, but I am sure they're going to have something refreshing and delicios available.

Less than 50 days now!

There is no need to be insulting. We also love young people. We will travel when we want to.princess cruises don't seem to attract alot of young people anyway.
Having cruised with princess 3 times previous.

It will be fine shorter cruises like this one usually have a younger group where as the long cruises could be a bit of a worry as it's usually full of old people like us but boy can we party and we could keep you up all night. Lol Princess is great you will all have a great time no matter your age

I suppose all the K to 12 families will not be well represented on a cruise at this time if year. Our small group are in our early sixties, and that suits me fine. Anyone else?
