Hi, we are first time cruisers, my question is, when we arrive at the dock in San Pedro, how long does it take to board the ship? do we go through security as if loading a plane? what is the boarding/check-in process like?

zip lining is the best....boat ride to far away bay, huge 4wd bus to zip line area, mule ride up to top of mountains
...then zip line down to river....amazing

I'd be traveling with my husband and a six month old baby, so we probably aren't much fun to hang out with. Did you know this cruise is has the Osmond fan club on it? Donny and Marie and the whole gang, apparently. I just found that out. Funny.

This is our first cruise with princess and to Mexico. Are there any hints, advice, secrets that we should know? Which excursions would be best to look into?

karlbro99
Contributor Level: Cruise Director

karlbro99   Jul 18, 2017 - 8:53 pm

we've done beaches, malceon, pirate ships, zip lines,snorkeling.....cant go wrong on anything....walmart is off back of ship...if you need great tequila or souvenirs dirt cheap..(walmart)..need a to go downtown catch a taxi ride to malceon....for senior frogs, hard rock, etc.

@jackandwater

Go to your Cruise Planner
Travel Arrangements
They charge $34 a person each way to LAX

https://www.redvans.com/
starting at $25/person
https://www.supershuttle.com/
About the same rate $25 person

At least with Princess - You will not have to arrange for someone to meet you at the airport and boat.

@jackandwater - Princess probably has Transfers to and from LAX which is more efficient than a taxis and set pricing.

I am a Hilton fan. We are flying in Monday morning but if we were coming earlier I would just search for the nearest Hilton, they usually have free shuttles to airports and probably to ports as well.
