Fly out of jfk on the 18th delta

Deck Hand

lastochka   Oct 18, 2016 - 2:38 am

Thanks for the useful information, marilyncarolp! Usually we put several bottles of alcohol to our baggage and just give one away if it's been founded. Sorry, my English is poor.

Deck Hand

lastochka   Oct 18, 2016 - 2:25 am

50% packed. Tomorrow we are flying to Barcelona. Do we have to take umbrellas?..

jat1901   Oct 16, 2016 - 1:49 pm

Yes, have to get the day started off right, will be glad to see other motivated cruisers in there as well. If you need a spot, let me know?

lroemer1326   Oct 15, 2016 - 11:17 pm

I am all packed. Suitcases locked. My husband has not even started.

CatchAMermaid   Oct 15, 2016 - 2:41 pm

I'll be there every morning..Twice on some days I'm sure!

Deck Hand

jat1901   Oct 15, 2016 - 1:30 pm

Will see you in the gym then Kathi.

kathi_kennedy   Oct 15, 2016 - 5:52 am

Stairs and gym every day! We do laps on all floors too

pammilicious   Oct 14, 2016 - 1:23 pm

The weather appears to be very fall like. Gotta take the sleeveless tops and capris and bathing suits out of suitcase.

cshepherd2   Oct 14, 2016 - 9:43 am

My Mom came to America from Germany when she was 12 so we are going to dress for Halloween in the old traditional German man and woman outfit! Something different.

cshepherd2   Oct 14, 2016 - 9:37 am

I would like to know how to use the bus system. Can you recommend a web link that explains it easy? Thank you. We were in Barcelona in 2012 for the Carnival Breeze transatlantic and loved the city.

cshepherd2   Oct 14, 2016 - 9:30 am

I unfortunately haven't started but definitely will today. My Mom and I will be leaving Tues. Gonna get some days in Barcelona before! Washing a coat to pack for New York to spend a couple days there after cruise. Looks like it's gonna be in 40's

cshepherd2   Oct 14, 2016 - 9:26 am

I make sure I use the stairs all the time and usually never gain on a cruise.

lroemer1326   Oct 14, 2016 - 9:10 am

We are on Delta we leave at 10:30pm on the 18th

ridethewaves   Oct 13, 2016 - 7:07 pm

Ok we are now 95% packed woohoo.

Deck Hand

jat1901   Oct 13, 2016 - 9:39 am

Many days at sea, getting in some gym time every day. Anybody with me? Have to work off all the food and drinks.

kathi_kennedy   Oct 12, 2016 - 8:49 pm

Halfway packed! But come Sunday night I will be completely packed except for my curling iron!

djacks   Oct 12, 2016 - 5:30 pm

Anyone flying from Toronto on the 18th?

thelindsay   Oct 12, 2016 - 11:46 am

I am packed. Hubby, of course, hasn't even started thinking about getting ready to begin procrastinating about packing!! 😂

ridethewaves   Oct 12, 2016 - 10:32 am

I used to go to Lumberton quite a bit when I use the truck down in that area. If I'm not mistaken there's a big Campbell Soup plant down there.

ridethewaves   Oct 12, 2016 - 10:31 am

Okay how many out there have you have to start packing like us? We only have 2 more days to pack and get ready because we work until the day we fly out. I guess she better get packing or she's not have any clothes to wear, me I just threw a couple pair of underwear t-shirts and a few pairs of shorts and a brown grocery bag packed I'm ready to go. 😂🛫⛴️

kathi_kennedy   Oct 12, 2016 - 7:02 am

I have watched the news here in Denver and it looks just awful. I hope you and your loved ones have minimal damage and are able to recover without to much hardship.

vetlover   Oct 12, 2016 - 5:59 am

We live in Lumberton, NC you best believe we are ready. The devastation here has made this trip needed more than ever.

amcjeep4life   Oct 12, 2016 - 12:40 am

Norwegian at 955 pm with a layover in Oslo.

kathi_kennedy   Oct 11, 2016 - 8:22 pm

Single digits! We've been waiting a long time for this!!!!

pammilicious   Oct 11, 2016 - 11:32 am

I'm out of JFK on American at 5:45 on the 18th u 2

kathi_kennedy   Oct 11, 2016 - 7:59 am

kathi_kennedy   Oct 11, 2016 - 7:58 am

lroemer1326   Oct 10, 2016 - 10:36 pm

Anyone flying out of New York on the 18th

kathi_kennedy   Oct 10, 2016 - 9:56 am

Lot of back to back cruisers as well! 11 days!

ridethewaves   Oct 09, 2016 - 1:24 pm

Looks like it's going to be a full ship. I counted only 7 cabins available in Ocean View and interior only.

kathi_kennedy   Oct 01, 2016 - 2:30 pm

20 day countdown! Woot woot!

pammilicious   Oct 01, 2016 - 10:39 am

We are going on a full day tour on day 1. Do you think they bring us there.

vetlover   Sep 30, 2016 - 3:45 am

I have found it to be worse at night. This is our 3rd Transatlantic and I thought the hours from 1:00 AM - 6:00 AM would be ideal. It was not.

marilyncarolp   Sep 28, 2016 - 2:22 am

Bermuda will be beautiful. It could reach almost 80. Best to think of layering.

cruisecouple56   Sep 27, 2016 - 3:06 am

About the bus to the beach. We will have to wait and ask the drivers for a price. You can also get a one day bus and ferry pass at Kings wharf.

marilyncarolp   Sep 26, 2016 - 9:59 pm

What is price?? There are 2 of us.

marilyncarolp   Sep 26, 2016 - 9:58 pm

There is liquor store before you board the ship in Barcelona in the port.

marilyncarolp   Sep 26, 2016 - 9:55 pm

I have been buying decorations for Halloween. We will also be celebrating my husband, Frank's
B-Day on 10/24. Since it is transatlantic cruise, we are not worrying about suitcase room. They don't weigh your luggage at the Port of NY.

kathi_kennedy   Sep 26, 2016 - 7:29 am

Thanks. It wasn't bad on the inaugural cruise depending on where you were on the ship. I'm an executive assistant to a CEO and the only real things he'll ask me to do I am on vacation is travel email and scheduling. None of which require VPN luckily!

thelindsay   Sep 25, 2016 - 8:48 pm

The internet will be as good as any other time on the ships -- it is satellite, so being in the middle of the ocean doesn't matter. But only the $25/day package will be even remotely fast enough for anything serious, and I tried using my work VPN and it was too slow.

ridethewaves   Sep 23, 2016 - 10:58 pm

We are interested there's two of us. Let us know time and how much please. Thank you.

Deck Hand

blc3397   Sep 23, 2016 - 9:08 pm

Jejeje, we book the cruise a year ago. You can find a lot of good restaurants near the center, I recomend: Flamant, La Rita, Txapela (to eat some pinchos)... And in port Olimpic you can find a lot of restaurants to eat a good Paella!!

kathi_kennedy   Sep 23, 2016 - 8:43 am

There are six in our group we were discussing going there. What time were you thinking?

cruisecouple56   Sep 22, 2016 - 10:44 am

in bermuda

cruisecouple56   Sep 22, 2016 - 10:39 am

does anyone want to share a minibus to horseshoe bay

angela256   Sep 20, 2016 - 9:33 pm

ridethewaves   Sep 20, 2016 - 10:53 am

You are kidding right. LOL I don't think we start until for about 3 days I'm flying okay maybe 4. That is our normal Cruise this time we might have to start a little earlier especially since we can only take one bag each. I guess we are getting down to the wire it's going to be a blast. Can't wait to get the Barcelona.

kathi_kennedy   Sep 20, 2016 - 7:48 am

Good morning everyone! We are in the 30 day countdown! Super excited! Who's packed and ready to go?

kathi_kennedy   Sep 16, 2016 - 8:28 am

Don't shoot me, but I may have to work a bit during the crossing. Anyone know how internet access works across the ocean?

kathi_kennedy   Sep 14, 2016 - 6:53 pm

So far it looks like mid to upper 70's for the highs in the ports (except NY). Not sure the temps of the crossing though. I'm bringing a bit of everything, as I'm sure the evenings will cool off a bit

Deck Hand

blc3397   Sep 14, 2016 - 6:44 am

In Ramblas there are 3 or 4 "tablados" flamencos, tablao flamenco cordobés it's in Ramblas 35, you can find discount tickets in letsbonus, and in port olimpic you will find "la taberna gallega" and 2-3 more restaurants where you can eat a good paella menu for 20€. Enjoy!!

Deck Hand

tutu227   Sep 13, 2016 - 11:24 pm

Leaving in the 17th

Deck Hand

tutu227   Sep 13, 2016 - 11:23 pm

Deck Hand

tutu227   Sep 13, 2016 - 11:21 pm

What's the weather forecast for the places we will be visiting ?? Do I need a lil of everything in my suitcase??

pammilicious   Sep 13, 2016 - 11:31 am

In La Rambla

pammilicious   Sep 13, 2016 - 11:30 am

Where can we go in the evening for flamenco dancing and paella. Can be two places.

ridethewaves   Sep 13, 2016 - 10:24 am

Cool, thank you

ridethewaves   Sep 13, 2016 - 8:46 am

Thank you, that helps me out a lot we are very excited to go visit your city. If you have a favorite Pub or restaurant if you would post that that would be wonderful to. We book this Cruise about a year-and-a-half ago we cannot believe is right around the corner now. Again thank you for your help.

Deck Hand

blc3397   Sep 13, 2016 - 8:36 am

Fantastic!! Yes, the public transportation, bus and subway are very easy to use, with a lot of maps as a guide!!

kathi_kennedy   Sep 13, 2016 - 6:38 am

We were in Barcelona after the carnival vistas inaugural cruise. Absolutely love your city! I found the bus system was very easy to use.

Deck Hand

blc3397   Sep 13, 2016 - 5:19 am

Hello!! In Barcelona is summer, around 30°C... Rambla is one of the tipically street in the city and is close from Plaza Catalunya (the center of the city). From the airport there is a lot of diferent ways: Taxi (most comfortable) around 30-35€. Aerobus (perfect) it's a directly bus to Plaza Catalunya around 6€/person. And also you can take the train from the airport to Plaza Catalunya or Sants Station and then take the subway L3 green one, to Liceu Station. Get a T-10 1zone card in train station or subway (10€/ 10 trips). Remember that Barcelona is a very safety city but there is a lot of pickpockets in the turistic areas, and they'll try to distract you. Always your pertinences in the front pockets or in a hard place to arrive. Sorry for my english and I hope that will be useful!! Enjoy!!

ridethewaves   Sep 13, 2016 - 2:13 am

Thank you, what is the best way to go from the airport to the Hotel Arc la Rambla. Would it be better to take public transportation or a taxi or any other suggestions. Also what can we expect for weather temperatures in Barcelona?

Deck Hand

blc3397   Sep 12, 2016 - 10:41 am

This will be our second TA with Carnival, we're from Barcelona!! If someone needs help about the city ask it!! Greetings!!

chip.jones.319   Sep 11, 2016 - 9:29 am

Thanks much!

kathi_kennedy   Sep 11, 2016 - 8:46 am

(301) 502-4511 she is in China right now, so best way to reach her is what's app she is due back in us in a few days.

ethan40   Sep 11, 2016 - 5:25 am

Yeah see u are getting in early your time that's why I like the later flight

pammilicious   Sep 10, 2016 - 10:25 pm

I will get no sleep. Leaving 5:45 pm est. Arrive Barcelona 7:15, 1:15 am est ugh

chip.jones.319   Sep 10, 2016 - 10:24 pm

I would definitely be interested in her number. Thanks!

rickross   Sep 10, 2016 - 10:22 pm

We are on the 10:30 pm flight as well. We are coming from Orlando . We are hoping to sleep!

kathi_kennedy   Sep 09, 2016 - 7:26 pm

Plus she will be on this cruise!

kathi_kennedy   Sep 09, 2016 - 7:24 pm

I know an excellent travel agent. - platinum Carnival cruiser and an excellent agent specializing in cruises. She almost always gets freebies thrown in and donates a portion of her commission to the charity of your choosing. Don't have her phone # handy but will post of interested.

chip.jones.319   Sep 09, 2016 - 6:11 pm

Does anyone have a good Personal Vacation Planner to recommend through Carnival? The one we had left and we're struggling to get another good one.

chip.jones.319   Sep 09, 2016 - 8:36 am

We're flying from WI on the 17th, going through JFK, then Stockholm. Wish Norwegian had started their direct fights in October, but it will be nice for future trips.

kathi_kennedy   Sep 08, 2016 - 7:29 pm

Did the upgrade fairy visit you yet?

kathi_kennedy   Sep 08, 2016 - 7:29 pm

On the inaugural cruise when we boarded in Trieste, we were able to bring more than one bottle of wine per person on board.

thelindsay   Sep 08, 2016 - 4:03 pm

It should still apply for Barcelona, Gibraltar and the Azores, but likely won't after that. Carnival isn't strict on the alcohol rules in euro ports.

kathi_kennedy   Sep 08, 2016 - 10:34 am

Thanks for the news on Norwegian! After being there on the Vista Inaugural cruise I want to go spend more time

ethan40   Sep 08, 2016 - 10:24 am

No there is a later flight think it was 10:30 pm if u am right I like that seeing I am starting off in chgo and puts me in Barcelona about 6am my time noon there time I can sleep all the way over

pammilicious   Sep 08, 2016 - 10:23 am

BTW Norwegian announced they will start flying from Newark to Barcelona in June direct for $189 one way.

pammilicious   Sep 08, 2016 - 10:21 am

I thought my flight was the latest what time is yours

ethan40   Sep 08, 2016 - 10:21 am

That's interesting I would like to know

ethan40   Sep 08, 2016 - 10:19 am

I fly out on the 18th from Chicago to jfk then Barcelona on delta but I have a later flight

pammilicious   Sep 07, 2016 - 8:34 pm

On Delta

kathi_kennedy   Sep 07, 2016 - 7:42 pm

Good question! I'd like to know as well!

jerry01aa   Sep 07, 2016 - 6:37 pm

I am reading that currently on the Vista people are saying that they have been bringing liquor on board in full view at boarding and nothing is being said. Some are saying that it only applies to Europe. My question, do we think it may still apply out of Barcelona for the transatlantic crossing ?

kathi_kennedy   Sep 07, 2016 - 7:54 am

Flying from Den to NY to Barca on the 19th

kathi_kennedy   Sep 07, 2016 - 7:35 am

I looked yesterday on the travel agent Carnival website and there seemed to be cabins left... Such a mystery!

jerry01aa   Sep 07, 2016 - 12:32 am

I believe they may be trying to unload any unsold cabins through sources like Priceline , etc. that way the price is not published, so no adjustments.

ridethewaves   Sep 06, 2016 - 9:05 pm

We fly out of Wisconsin to Minneapolis to Amsterdam to Barcelona. But we don't fly out until the 19th. Just can't believe it's coming up this soon

pammilicious   Sep 06, 2016 - 8:49 pm

6 weeks from today. Barcelona bound. Anyone flying from JFK on the 18th at 5:30 pm

ridethewaves   Sep 06, 2016 - 8:48 pm

I would really have a hard time believing that it's sold out no matter what Carnival says. Because I've checked that cruise up until the day they pulled it and there was lots of interior Ocean View and balcony cabins available unless they're going to give them away. But I guess it really don't matter we have our cabin. And in that too many days I guess we're going to see what the ship looks like. See you all on board

pammilicious   Sep 06, 2016 - 8:46 pm

Carnival said it's sold our.

djacks   Sep 05, 2016 - 3:36 pm

I've been on a few and always dress up after dinner

ridethewaves   Sep 04, 2016 - 11:21 pm

I don't think it's sold out, because the day before they pulled that cruise off of the Carnival website there was lots of cabins available. I just can't imagine somebody decided at the last minute to book a cabin when that only the cabin is expensive but the airline ticket is ridiculous this close to flying. I just can't believe it after booking this a year-and-a-half ago it's finally getting closer can't wait to get on board.

kathi_kennedy   Sep 04, 2016 - 10:58 pm

I think the sailing is sold out!

sunroomlarry   Sep 04, 2016 - 1:31 pm

Do we know how many passengers will be on board yet?

Ana26   Sep 04, 2016 - 10:05 am

My husband is dressing like Uncle Sam and I'm the Statue of Liberty really corny but oh well let's have a blast people

kathi_kennedy   Sep 02, 2016 - 8:13 am

49 more days! It's getting really real now!

chip.jones.319   Aug 31, 2016 - 11:49 pm

We're just doing the drink package as well. Nice to just enjoy and not have to hassle with bringing on. We're excited about the increased options for Cheers.

chip.jones.319   Aug 31, 2016 - 11:47 pm

Ridethewaves and marilyncarolp, we are winging it as well. Planning to enjoy all the ship has to offer and just walk to what we can see in the ports unless something else comes up. Kind of refreshing to just let it flow.

katj   Aug 30, 2016 - 5:36 pm

@pammilicious just seeing your post. I'm a solo cruiser so I pay a hefty premium. Not much you can do for me - I wish.

marilyncarolp   Aug 29, 2016 - 9:21 pm

Your cabin steward always has a corkscrew. He can also bring you wine glasses.

marilyncarolp   Aug 29, 2016 - 9:18 pm

We have taken as many and no upgrade also. We are taking a cruise from NYC to Canada. We wanted to save money so we took the special pricing that they pick out your cabin. We are platinum class and still no cabin assignment. The cruise starts on 4 days. So, it may be the Owners' Suite or the Engine Room. And embarkation day is my B-day. So not cool.

jerry01aa   Aug 28, 2016 - 9:54 pm

We have been on several. You see everything . Many nothing and some like to go all out in dressing. For us, we wear Halloween tee shirts.

kathi_kennedy   Aug 27, 2016 - 1:15 pm

No upgrade fairy here either.😟

kathi_kennedy   Aug 27, 2016 - 1:13 pm

Same here! Our group may all dress up like pirates :-) still deciding though

ridethewaves   Aug 26, 2016 - 10:46 pm

We have never been on a cruise during Halloween but I can't imagine them not doing something. So we're taking a costume along just in case.

Deck Hand

tutu227   Aug 25, 2016 - 10:48 pm

Me cousin!!

chip.jones.319   Aug 25, 2016 - 9:23 pm

Has anyone been on a cruise on Halloween before? Do people wear costumes for dinner or just later in the evening?

Deck Hand

ben0746   Aug 25, 2016 - 5:04 pm

56 days to go
Our 12th cruise with Carnival
and stil no upgrade

kathi_kennedy   Aug 24, 2016 - 7:42 am

Anyone staying at the Barcelona Airport Hotel the night before the cruise?

chip.jones.319   Aug 23, 2016 - 10:12 am

We'll be dressing up. Looking forward to joining in the fun!

kathi_kennedy   Aug 22, 2016 - 8:36 am

Me!!! Super excited!

ridethewaves   Aug 19, 2016 - 10:28 pm

Woohoo, we can't wait.

Deck Hand

mimi919   Aug 19, 2016 - 9:56 pm

9 weeks and counting down! Who's excited??

thelindsay   Aug 14, 2016 - 4:56 pm

Me too! The packing list, in exacting detail, has been in the works for almost a year!

kathi_kennedy   Aug 12, 2016 - 9:04 am

70 days / 10 weeks to go!!! Already planning my wardrobe 😬!!!

thelindsay   Aug 08, 2016 - 7:42 pm

We are dressing up. Most of our costumes can be used as regular clothes.

Deck Hand

tutu227   Aug 08, 2016 - 6:58 pm

If I have room I plan to bring something

ridethewaves   Aug 08, 2016 - 9:43 am

Don't say anything about that. Sometimes you just have to keep things a secret and to yourself

jerry01aa   Aug 08, 2016 - 9:40 am

If you bring wine in boxes, they do not see it.

jerry01aa   Aug 08, 2016 - 9:38 am

Passed rock 8 times going to and from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean . We booked a tour from the ship since it's our first time stopping .

jerry01aa   Aug 08, 2016 - 9:33 am

Booked in April, our cabin was lowered three times and we kept getting a reduction .

ridethewaves   Aug 06, 2016 - 9:46 pm

If you bring the wine the Barcelona will take it on board for you. We bought the drink package so we're not taking any with us. If you want just I IM us. And we'll see what we can come up with

Deck Hand

tutu227   Aug 06, 2016 - 9:15 pm

Thanks!! I guess I will need to find some non wine drinkers and make fast friends to bring some extra bottles :) getting so excited for this adventure!!

jerry01aa   Aug 06, 2016 - 9:37 am

This will make 7 for us. We cruised all times of the year , even mid December . Never had bad seas and always had the opportunity to sit by the pool most days. Great not having to rush for anything .

marilyncarolp   Aug 06, 2016 - 7:00 am

We used points from our United credit card-- one way and paid a little extra for better seats. Only 60,000 points & $150 dollars.

marilyncarolp   Aug 06, 2016 - 6:58 am

We have done TA in Sept& no issues with turbulence. This is end of not sure. Vista is large so we are not worried. We have 3 grandsons so we are tough. I was born in Brooklyn & my husband was born in Bronx. If weather is bad,Cruiseline has scheduled activities. No worries. We can all get together.

marilyncarolp   Aug 06, 2016 - 6:50 am

Wonder if there will be Halloween Party?? We can always do a Toga costume with white bed sheets.

marilyncarolp   Aug 06, 2016 - 6:48 am

Sounds like a great idea. I am an ER nurse. Might bring a pair of scrubs!!

marilyncarolp   Aug 06, 2016 - 6:47 am

We went to Rock before. It is filthy. Stay away from monkeys. They bite. They advise you not to pick them up. We took a tour the first time. Once was enough. They stopped people from climbing the rock. Some shops there.

ridethewaves   Aug 03, 2016 - 4:58 pm

We actually have not set up any excursions yet. We're actually planning to just wing it and see what happens. Is anybody doing the same or we nuts

ridethewaves   Aug 01, 2016 - 9:48 pm

1 per person over 21. But remember when you go on board the ship it must be on your carry-on do not put it in your checked luggage or it may get confiscated.

I am so excited to be sharing this cruise with my cousin. It's a first TA for both of us! Does anyone know how many bottles of wine we can bring on board??

ridethewaves   Jul 29, 2016 - 11:39 am

Heck I can just come as myself it's pretty scary so that's what I've been told. LOL

ridethewaves   Jul 29, 2016 - 11:34 am

I didn't even realize that we would be on the cruise during Halloween. Now I guess I have to go and find a costume

kathi_kennedy   Jul 23, 2016 - 1:24 pm

90 days! Yay!

katj   Jul 15, 2016 - 1:21 pm

Final payments are coming due so it looks like people are cancelling causing others to upgrade to cabins that were previously unavailable. I've been helicoptering category 4J. Someone either cancelled or upgraded because a cabin opened up today so I upgraded. If you're in the market for a different cabin be on the lookout, but don't expect a freebie if you're looking for prime real estate. Vista is clearly a seller's market but
the upgrade was reasonable and well worth it. An extra $20 a day for the room I wanted. Yeah well worth it for a two week sailing.

Has anyone else booked this cruise with free hotel in Barcelona and free airfare? Was wondering when we will find out air and hotel info.

herbeje   Jul 08, 2016 - 4:49 pm

Time to go on your reservation to pick your boarding time. It's something new.

Any kids going?

allcapskelly   May 26, 2016 - 8:45 pm

I have bever been on a TA but looking forward to the Vista TA. It will be nice to relax and enjoy the ship for once rather then having busy ports of call everyday. I think the stops along the way will help break it up. I hear Atlantic crossings are not bad..

allcapskelly   May 26, 2016 - 8:39 pm

Has anyone back who had a Havana Cabana???

CatchAMermaid   May 24, 2016 - 10:12 pm

There was a huge price drop today on balconies. I got $1200 refunded. Keep watching!

Danielle85   May 22, 2016 - 8:12 am

Hello Vista cruisers! I have a number of tours planned for each port of call and still have some seats remaining. If you can find our group on Facebook, "Carnival Vista - October 21, 2016," you'll be able to see the options. Or, you can email me at

I recently returned from the inaugural cruise and am looking forward to being back on the ship in October!

thelindsay   May 08, 2016 - 9:06 pm

The airline can deny you frequent flier miles if you bail on the second flight, and technically according to the contracts they can charge you the higher price it would've been if you just bought the one way. I read all the major airline contracts (I'm a lawyer and read these things a lot) and ultimately decided I wasn't willing to take the risk of tossing the last leg and getting charged a fee.

lroemer1326   Apr 26, 2016 - 10:10 am

You can get your flight and hotel through Carnival. We got our flight for 621 to Spain and New York to home.

Cruisehelper   Apr 24, 2016 - 9:58 pm

I have done 2 this will be my second. The cruise activities are really mixed and there is a lot of time to just relax and unwind from your hard job and life. Lol. But really, just walk around and explore even more everyday which is fun.

shady2jz   Apr 12, 2016 - 2:22 am

We have done 3 TAs and one Transpacific crossing. We have Our 4th this Saturday. Our best crossing was in February of all months, 70s the entire way across into 80s at Spain. Our last crossing on the Norwegian Escape was chilly and windy since we hit a small storm but nothing crazy. But it is rougher than the Caribbean.
Weather depends on the ships route, more northern route the colder it will be but you can never really guess out in the open ocean what it will be like.

We bring lots of movies on our laptop if we aren't interested in the cruise activities they have planned. They try to mix it up as best they can but there's only so much you can do. Hope this helps.

ridethewaves   Mar 17, 2016 - 12:26 pm

For those of you that I've already booked check your price again and has dropped today. Also if you have not yet booked your airline tickets don't just check a one way ticket but check around trip check out as well. You will throw the second half of the ticket away. we found it's half the price of a one way. We asked a travel agent if there's anything that the airline could do because we through the second half away and we were told there was nothing they could do. Now I will be honest with you we used points to fly to Barcelona. I just figured I'd put it out there for the information. Happy travels see you on the ship

shady2jz   Mar 16, 2016 - 2:35 am

Our cabin has increased over $2,500 since booking the first day. We aren't expecting an price drops lol.

ridethewaves   Jan 09, 2016 - 11:49 am

has anybody booked the hotel for Barcelona yet? if so can you tell me which one and how much we still have to book our hotel

ridethewaves   Jan 09, 2016 - 8:54 am

Vista travelers please check your price we saved $580 on our cabin. The price has gone down several times. right now it's at it lowest remember if you find a lower rate call and get it adjusted.
