I honestly can't wait. It would be my 10th cruise! I've been on the Fantasy, Fascination, Elation, Victory, and the Triumph. I have another one booked for March that I'm cruising with my whole family. This one is just a girls trip. 😊😊😊😊😊

opdgirl   Apr 29, 2016 - 4:25 pm

The only problem with a passport card, if you miss the boat or get sick and have to fly home YOU CAN'T!!! You must have a valid passport to fly.

joelleb   Apr 28, 2016 - 8:54 am

We normally stay at the Holiday Inn Express before cruising and Circa 39 after a cruise. This year, since we will be flying on what is the busiest air travel dates, we may need to fly in on Thanksgiving to get a decent air price. With that said, we will be staying at Circa 39 before we cruise. Wonderful hotel with 1/2 block to beach and 5 min ride to Ocean Drive. My TA gets me great rates

franceswest   Apr 19, 2016 - 9:27 pm

franceswest   Apr 19, 2016 - 9:25 pm

You can get a pass card for 30 dollars

franceswest   Apr 18, 2016 - 8:59 pm

I couldn't find either of them. If you find it please let me know.

loriwga   Apr 18, 2016 - 3:34 pm

Hello what is the website?

loriwga   Apr 14, 2016 - 8:50 am

Wow it looks like the price went up we paid around $140 a night it is now closed to $180 to $200 plus.

loriwga   Apr 14, 2016 - 8:46 am

Last year my husband and I stayed at the Deauville Beach Resort. It is a nice moderate hotel on the beach. The price is not bad for a one night stay. It is located at 6701 Collins Ave.,Miami Beach, FL. Take a look when you get a change.

Frances2013   Apr 14, 2016 - 7:06 am

Yes I have booked at Holiday Inn Express near the part and four pointe Sheraton miami beach. Can't make up my mind. I live down south and hotels start getting sold out about 5 months before sailing 😊

treycholmes   Apr 13, 2016 - 8:22 pm

Yes my husband and I also would like to stay near the port. We will be arriving on that Friday. I started my search.

loriwga   Apr 13, 2016 - 7:34 pm

My husband and I have. We plan to be in Miami that Saturday. We are looking to stay either in Miami Beach or South Beach we don't want to be to far from the port. I am trying to find if any of the ports have any jet skiing. I could not find any. So we are thinking of renting some in Miami.

loriwga   Apr 12, 2016 - 5:44 am

Does anybody know if any of the islands have jet skiing or is it best to rent them in Miami.

det1969   Apr 11, 2016 - 11:36 pm

No need, but I never leave this country without.

det1969   Apr 11, 2016 - 11:35 pm

Nice!! I'm reuniting with some folks I met on a previous cruise for this sailing.

treycholmes   Apr 11, 2016 - 12:00 pm

Has anyone started to look in to hotels for prior to cruising?

loriwga   Apr 10, 2016 - 8:15 pm

Hello anybody crushing in the Vista ship for Nov. 27, 2016 from Miami, FL. I was looking at the water excursions and I can't find on any of the islands jet skiing. As anyone found any rentals on one of the 3 islands. Or would it be best to rent then in Miami, FL.

  Apr 10, 2016 - 8:11 pm

You're welcome :)

loriwga   Apr 10, 2016 - 8:10 pm

Ok thank you for the information. I have my original birth certificate and drivers license. I just wanted to be sure that they will take them. I read somewhere that you had to have a passport or they won't let you board the ship. Thanks for clearing that up.

  Apr 10, 2016 - 7:54 pm

Just remember if you or your companions miss the ship or get sick in another country you won't be allowed to get right on a plane & fly home or to the next port. I'm not even sure what the procedure is or how long it takes to verify citizenship & be allowed to fly.

asdoubleu   Apr 10, 2016 - 6:19 pm

You do not, birth certificate and drivers license will suffice.

loriwga   Apr 10, 2016 - 5:37 pm

Hello I will be on the Vista ship on Nov 27, 2016. I am sailing from Miami, FL to the Caribbean islands and back to Miami, FL. Does anybody know if you have to have a passport?

franceswest   Apr 02, 2016 - 7:45 pm

I don't care for speciality coffee or the bull drinks so i can enjoy and extra Margarita.. πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜πŸ˜€

joelleb   Apr 02, 2016 - 7:36 pm

Don't forget that cheers also includes any drinks (not souvenir glasses), up to $50 is included as well as any coffees, milkshakes, red bull type drinks, and bottle water. It definitely worth it! And the non alcoholic drinks don't count towards your 15! Bonus!! I've always wanted to try a speciality coffee but thought why should I pay when coffee is free everywhere else on the ship... And now I c

laferra   Apr 02, 2016 - 7:27 pm

In the cheers program it includes sodas and mixers as well but thats what I think about no drinking and driving just my designated walker lol lol

franceswest   Apr 02, 2016 - 7:26 pm

Thank you so much Laferra

franceswest   Apr 02, 2016 - 7:25 pm

Very helpful Laferra, I think the cheers package is a good buy, I don't drink much but when I know can and don't have to worry about driving I will be able to enjoy and try new drinks. I'm just so excited and can't wait for November to get here.

laferra   Apr 02, 2016 - 6:54 pm

so far you have gotten good advise..what I do is sit down and figure out how I'm going to spend so I know I always get the pics that they take when you board and the pics at each port..the most you will pay is $21.99 then I factor in that pics for Captains night as well as pics for fine dining if I choose to buy them which usually is around 6 not including the pics I mentioned before..I drink more than usual on vacation so the drinks are normally over $10 but if you want the souvenir cups they run at least $12 I think haven't bought one in awhile thats why I'm factoring in the cheers program thats $49.50 a day but of coarse anyone in your cabin 21yrs and up has to purchase the program..I love to bring back the White Hennessey because you can't get it in the states so its popular so I allot $99 for 3 bottles but they are $45.99 a piece..they have wonderful specials if you like to bring other alcohols back so I allot another $100 just in case..last yr I paid $99 for 2 bottles of Ciroc and 2 bottles of Grey Goose..I know this cruise will have a movie theater which is $12.50 so I will calculate how many movies I plan to go to..also I always hit up the $10 watch sale makes great gifts but its other things you can purchase as well..these things are just for my spending on the ship but thats why I use this time to go ahead and purchase cruise cash..even though you have to spend what you put on your accout with it it wirks for me so that I can concentrate on my spending money for ports..hope this helped as well

franceswest   Mar 23, 2016 - 5:27 pm

Thank you both very much..that gives me a very good range of fun then. I'm excited and hate having to wait until November.

det1969   Mar 21, 2016 - 10:39 pm

I agree with adding up what you'll need for excursions and additional tipping if you decide to do that. We also include money to taste the local goods of where we port. Lastly, if we need cab fare we also factor that in. I've never carried more than $500 in cash even for a 9 day cruise.

det1969   Mar 20, 2016 - 1:44 pm

What excursions are you looking into? I may do Blue Lagoon in Nassau if we don't do it this June off the Norwegian Escape. I haven't looked into any of the other stops.

ashCruiser   Mar 20, 2016 - 9:17 am

Same here. Booked for the ship, not the itinerary. But we will most likely do excursions at all 3 ports to get a different feel
