I'm curious about what you thought about this cruise... we felt the food wasn't the quality we have experienced before, that we were nickle & dimed for things and the service wasn't as friendly as we are familiar with Carnival.

The weather between the Orlando area and Cape Canaveral is going to be in the high 60's to mid-70's with a 10-15mph wind during embarkation and departure.

Wishing everyone safe travels on tomorrow. If you're expecting onboard credits from your TA or as apart of a promotion, or make purchases on the website beforehand, be sure to print off and bring copies of the receipts. Trust me, it's not worth the hassle of standing in the GS line on the first day of the cruise trying to make sure things are applied to your room, or onboard account with no proof.

I'm usually packed by now, but I'm just ironing and packing as I go along. Everything is together, so it won't take me long.

Has anyone used the Hub app chat feature. I understand you have to pay 5.00 to use it. Is it worth it?

The Disney Dream, The Riviera, and the Norwegian Escape are in port with us the day we're there. I've never heard of the Riviera, so maybe it's a small ship or private yacht.

Think since it's a holiday weekend, some prepanning is in order. I haven't checked to see how many ships are in port that day, but will do so later tonight.

All of the ones sissylieb mentioned are good for Nassau. You can also do the tour/Aquarium/Beach/Pool day at the Atlantis. There's also a free beach to the right of the pier just past Senor Frogs which a lot of people don't know about. We usually just hit the main shopping area to grab a few things, then head over to the Atlantis for the casino and some shopping at the stores on the property.

hi, yeah it changed, I don't know why they haven't fixed it yet. I'm sailing the 22nd of dec! They have a lot of excursions, private island beach day, native quest, swim with dolphins, snorkel, sea and see tour, tropical atv 4 hours, reef adventure, scuba diving with gear, beach safari, parasail, paddle boarding, bar hopping and more....

This cruise is now the Liberty, so it took me a while to figure that out :-) I've never been on this short of a cruise; what type of excursions are best??

Our ship just changed to the Liberty from the Valor which will be heading to Galveston. The Liberty has been having propulsion problems as of lately, so Carnival is stating the Valor is better suited for speeds needed for longer cruises. Check you emails.

What's your arrival date, maybe I can find the price for one way rental.

sjcruiser36   Sep 16, 2016 - 11:10 am

The car is worth it on your inbound trip to have some freedom to get around, but if your leaving right out after the cruise, a shuttle (Carnival or other), may be the best bet.

sjcruiser36   Sep 16, 2016 - 11:09 am

Alamo, Thrift and Enterprise all have one way rentals to and from the airport to port Canaveral.

sjcruiser36
Contributor Level: Purser

sjcruiser36   Sep 16, 2016 - 11:06 am

I know some of the car rental agencies have offices a block a two away, and you can do a one way rental to and from the airport, and they'll take you to the pier if you drop off the car the morning the ship departs. Let me check on which ones.

sjcruiser36   Sep 16, 2016 - 11:05 am

Do you want to stay closer to the airport or to the pier? Country Inn and Suites and the Radisson is across from the port, and have shuttle service to the ships, but not the airport.

Are there any veteran sailors who know of a shuttle service to and from the airport, hotel, and port? I'm flying to MCO airport and renting a car... seems silly to rent a car and then pay for parking while on the boat, but I'm not finding affordable alternatives. I'm coming into Orlando the day before the cruise and leaving the day we return to port. Thanks!
