Happy Thanksgiving Everyone ! I'm thankful for being able to go on nice cruises with my family and all of my ship mates.

jbbinder   Nov 22, 2016 - 10:40 pm

I have sailed with Carnival twice in 11 months, and have 3 more cruises booked with them. (I have not sailed with any other line.). I have been pleased with every aspect of cruising with Carnival. The crew have been great, food great, price great. My most recent cruise (11/12) had an itinerary change due to propulsion issues with the ship. We were compensated WELL for missing a port.

Don't know about ship liquor prices; they don't sell what we drink. Just sailed Liberty on 11/14, and my frozen drinks were about $8.50 each, plus my prepaid gratuities.

You will love the cruise director Malcolm Woo Hoo Burn. I think that Royal and Carnival are about the same. I think Carnival is a little bit more budget friendly. You guys will have a great time. And be sure to check out guys burgers joint.

We've never sailed with carnival before. So far we have sailed with Disney and royal. Any tips or advice would be appreciated!

What are the wholesale liquor prices like on the ship? & how much are the frozen alcoholic beverages on average ?

Just completed the on line check in ! Man ! These eight weeks are going to fly by ! ⛱🌴☀️🏊🏻💃🎉🍔👙

You won't need any cash on the ship; everything goes on your sail and sign card. If you prepaid gratuities, you're set there too, unless you want to tip more. I take spending money for port shopping and cabs, and a little additional for an exceptional server in the MDR, and for our cabin steward at the end of the cruise.

I agree with papichulotatted. Each cruise is different for me. I've spent nothing on some to $1100 on others. It really depends on what you want to do once on board. But set that budget with roughly $150 (on the high side) for gratuities.

aromero1   Oct 14, 2016 - 2:24 pm

We spent $700-$800

I suggest you get a Uber

It's so much to buy from the casino to drinks to premium food to general shopping on & off the ship, I guess it depends on how much money you're willing to spend

knina01   Oct 07, 2016 - 10:01 am

This will be my first cruise, what is a realistic amount for spending money I should bring?

medic650r   Oct 06, 2016 - 7:03 pm

Hello, any one else doing the bob Marley tour in Jamaica

millyjazz   Aug 21, 2016 - 6:48 pm

I seen some people talking about renting cars from Galveston and park at a hotel near the port because they have parking packages at hotels near the port and then driving back to Galveston. This may be an option for us if we decide to stay for two days prior to the cruise. If not I think I may do the transfer through Carnival... Not too sure yet

millyjazz   Aug 21, 2016 - 6:45 pm

Anyone doing the cool running excursion? I looked online and they have it in Ochos Rios

millyjazz   Aug 21, 2016 - 6:40 pm

We may either do the carnival transfer to Galveston rent a car. Not sure...any suggestions?

hurdster   Aug 10, 2016 - 10:26 pm

We never book a tour in Jamaica. We go out to the gate and ask the many people there to go to Dunns Ricer Falls cost about $10. Tour is expensive
