The ship was very clean. I throughly enjoyed The Haven and Vibe. The remainder of the ship was way too crowded to even enjoy. The ship was set up in a way that didn’t seem to flow like other ships I’ve been on. The service was not on par with my previous Cruises with Princess and Carnival. Many staff were short, unfriendly. I remember the amazing bartenders from Vibe and that’s it.
November 2016 - 7 Night Southern Caribbean (San Juan Roundtrip) Cruise on Carnival Fascination
Went on this ship to the southern Caribbean 11/2016. Ship did show its age in some places and only one swimming pool, that was quite small. Our room was nice. We had the grand suite with extended balcony. Our room service however was awful. I never saw our cabin steward except when we were leaving. Multiple mornings I had breakfast set up for delivery and it never came. Our friends who had the same room type had a broken tv at embarkation but it was quickly fixed. The bartenders at most bars were not even mediocre. They didn't know basic drinks. We found a great bartender, Andreea at the bar in the main atrium. Other ship/line we have used in past had specialty restaurants that his did not. However, we did anytime dishing but requested same section. Our wait staff was very good. The buffet food was not good at all and there were always long SLOW lines. (This is not ships fault but I swear people would stare for 5 minutes before taking something!) The comedy club was excellent. Andy at the piano bar was talented and quite comical. Overall, it was a good cruise. The ports were amazing.
