I was very disappointed when the cabin steward came to me and asked whether I wanted my room cleaned morning or night. I have always had the room cleaned twice a day. I never saw him again for the entire cruise. I asked him three times the first day for ice twice a day. I received ice when the room was cleaned but never twice a day. I thought I was paying for cleaning and I didn't think ice was that big a deal, but I was very upset. You used to ask if they called you by name. I guess now they never even have to see you .When I returned home I asked the travel agent about this new idea. He said I could have refused to pay the gratuity and I should have gotten my room cleaned twice a day if that was what I had asked him to do. I have a returning cruise and I will insist that my room is cleaned twice a day.
The other disappointing event I encountered was the Your Time Dining. I always have picked that because my husband is handicapped and we can get a table for two by a window. He cannot stand in a line very long because of his disability. This time there was a line around the elevators every night. To get into the dining room near the front of the line you had to arrive forty-five minutes before the door opened. There was one group of forty people who insisted that they were first no matter what and just took over the lines. They would push people out of the way and bring their group to the front.
I love cruising and I always go on Carnival. This was my first disappointing cruise because of those issues. Please correct them.
