September 2016 - Carnival Victory to Caribbean - Bahamas
We knew that this was an older ship, and we would have to make some allowances. The layout of the cabin was terrible. No side tables for glasses, books or a CPAP machine. On one side of the bed, there was so little space, you had to walk out to the end of the bed sideways. There was no refridgerator, so if something needed to be kept cold, like certain medications, you were out of luck, or could have one brought to the cabin, where it would take up more floor space
Storage space was more than aequate.
The bathroom was surprisingly large, by cruise ship standards, and the shower was pretty roomy. However, this was offset by the mold and mildew in the grout cracks
We really did not enjoy having to go up to Deck 5 to go from one end of the ship to the other. This forced us to go through the very smokey casino, not a fin time. By the 3rd day, we had found alternate routes
The Lido buffet was a mess, with long slow lines. Again, by the 3rd day, we had found alternaives
For some reason, the cover to the solarium was closed on occasion. While it did rain quit hard once, when it was not raining, it made the Solarium uncomfortably warm, actually forcing us to leave on one occasion
