April 2014 - Enchantment of the Seas to Caribbean - Bahamas
The ship states that it is designated a Non-Smoking ship. That is an outright lie, as they DO allow smoking in certain areas. And if you allow smoking anywhere on board - you cannot designate the ship as smoke-free! False advertisement!!!
VERY VERY disappointed & upset in how smoky the ship was in and around the Casino. That entire section of the floor smelled horrible, and other people were complaining as well. We were definitely not able to go into the Casino because of the cigarette smoke, nor could we enjoy the amenities anywhere near the Casino. We paid full price for our cruise, like everyone else, but were unable to enjoy several places because of the smoke. This is a health hazard, & in this day and age I cannot understand why a ship would cause non-smoking, and allergy related, guests to have to contend with this; and it seems like a liability to me on the ship's part. There should never be smoking allowed in any area where ALL patrons are entitled to frequent. I am not picking on smokers, I understand their need, however, their need should not outweigh the good, and health, of all people. If insistent, there needs to be a TRUE non-smoking section on board, where all the smoke is sealed in with the smoker. We will definitely book on a non-smoking cruise before another ship that allows smoking.
Also, we had MyTime Dining. We were told by Cruises Only & Royal Caribbean that that meant we could dine at any time; no reservations needed. When we got there at 5:45pm we were told we had an 8:30 reservation. They didn't seem to understand we didn't have a "reservation" and were allowed to be seated at any time. The menu board outside the dining room also confirmed this. They switched our reservation to 5:45 p.m. We were moved from table to table. We did not go back to the dining room after that, as we did not want to be "locked" into a specific time to eat.
