The Queen Mary was very interesting and nostalgic. We took the free bus to downtown Long Beach to have dinner and do a little shopping. We were suprised at the number of homeless wandering around and shouting incoherently. As it was approaching dusk, we started to fear for our safety a bit. We were happy to hop back on the bus and spend the night on the Queen Mary. We waited in line about 30 minutes to board the ship, which wasn't bad. I've seen much worse.

Embarkation and debarkation was a breeze. The Cruise was fantastic. The staff amazing. The ship is one of the older ones in the Carnival fleet and showed it. I missed having the big screen on the Lido deck and going to the steakhouse. I was very impressed with all of the staff and crew on board. The friendliness and efficiency reminded me of the level of service we used to see on Carnival when we started cruising. It was also my first cruise on the Pacific side . I will definitely do another in the future , but it will be on a bigger and newer ship and it will be longer than 4 days . 4 days is never enough.... Also stayed on the Queen Mary upon return. A very short walk from the Carnival terminal. She is nice to see and tour through. She is a beautiful piece of history ,but don't stay there. The old Lady is having a hard time staying operational. We had no hot water, no Air conditioning, A TV that didn't work and I heard of other issues as well. I hope she will get some serious TLC . Take Care.

Queen Mary is interesting! Plenty of places to chill and shop around town. We went to a fabulous German-American burgers and dogs place for lunch!

Getting on the Splendor couldn't have been faster...walked right On! We took Carnival bus transportation from airport which might not have been the least expensive option, but it made getting there totally stress free.

This is the best port I’ve ever experienced to get onto a ship. The process was so quick and easy! We were even able to board earlier than our designated window. I didn’t explore the town much, but from what I saw it was pretty. It was also my first time in California so that was just cool to me overall.

Beautiful port. Stayed at the Best Western Hotel. They took us to the ship the next morning. Go down to the Shoreline Village. We are dinner down there and it was really good. They have shops and restaurants there. It's a beautiful place and we really felt safe there. We were there during daylight hours. Uber picked us up.took us to a store to pickup our 12 pack cans of soda then back to the hotel.
