Driveable distance to our home, no need to catch a flight.

We did not go any excursion. The port was clean and easy to find. The bonus was that we were able to tour the Queen Mary.

Stay at the Queen Mary the night prior and just walk over the next morning for embarkation.

No excursions as we live in LA. Parking was overcrowded although we arrived quite early for checkin.

Long beach port was easy to maneuver, luggage was well handled by the port's crew at embarkation and we handled our own for debarkation to save a few minutes. Next time we will spend a few hours touring the Queen Mary, what an amazing looking old ship!

We stayed at the Queen Mary the night before this cruise. I was not impressed. She is run down and not well maintained. Rooms are covered in dirt, the porcelin coating on the bathtubs is flaking, and there is zero noise insulation between the rooms. On the plus side, she is filled with tons of history and we enjoyed the Haunted Encounters tour we took (good value at $10 per person since we stayed the night). We are glad we did it but we will never do it again.

This port was our Embarkation location, so no excursion other then purchasing the Faster to Fun which was great. Utilizing the Spruce Goose hanger was a great idea, made things much more comfortable and fast. Great Job!!
