Our ship boarding was delayed because of fog, so we had hours to kill. Because it was a Sunday, we couldn’t buy a beer while we waited. All the shops around were also closed. We ended up just sitting on a curb twiddling our thumbs for five hours.

No excursions, I'm from Texas, we drove down from Oklahoma so didn't get to see much.

Galveston is nice. Many stay and parks so going down a night early is worth it.

No very bad. Traffic leaving and the port security/police were awful.

Galveston is our home away from home so I’m biased. Water isn’t very appealing but the history & character of the island is always a pleasure. Lighthouse Parking is highly recommended.

We had a couple of hours due to fog so we roamed the Strand. I have lived near Galveston all my life so I do enjoy this town. Best Mexican food - Original Mexican Cafe.
