Embarking and disembarking the ship was a breeze. We parked in the lot adjacent to the cruise ship. It was approximately $19/day in 2015 for parking. We would definitely sail from this cruise port again!

While docked at Cape Liberty for two nights because of inclement weather, it provided the opportunity to visit the small park that has the Tears of Grief Memorial. It’s a tear drop sculpture that was given to the U.S.A. by Russia as a memorial to victims of the September 11, 2001 attack. 26-Russians were lost in the attack.

There’s nothing here to do. This port could use some added attractions for those that do not want to take an excursion. I did not do any excursions.

Bayonne was incredibly easy for embarkation, but since we stayed in NYC for the evening before, transportation was an issue. Car was a little expensive, but driver was very prompt and we arrived to the ship early and were onboard by 11:30.
