Parked in NJ and took the ferry boat over. Walked to the ship from there. It was easy and saved us over $100!

We went to the 9-11 memorial and museum. The shuttle to and from the memorial had a driver who was most informative and made the bus ride quite a learning experience.

Surprisingly this was an easy port to get to. Do your homework prior to going to familiarize yourself with the area around the port and you will be fine. there is a huge aircraft carrier ship museum at the pier which would be an interesting excursion to do if time allows. Parking at the pier, although a little costly, it was worth it and simple, people attentive and actually nice.

911 Museum. So moving, emotional. Definitely needed more time there.

Go see Chicago when in New York. The Ambassador Theater troupe has been together for years, and work this Fosse classic beautifully. We used Uber to visit the Museum of Natural History, and took in the Top of the Rock on a crisp, clear afternoon before the blizzard came in. Sailing past Lady Liberty in a snowstorm was quite special, and a real highlight of our trip.

New York is fabulous, no where like it. We stayed near Times Square for a couple of days, could walk or LYFT to everything. Got last minute tickets for "Chicago" which we had seen before, but this was a great cast. Walked to Rockefeller Center, Tiffany's, St. Pat's, Trump Tower, which is still pretty, even with the guards and machine guns, Central Park, and the Metropolitan Museum. Be sure to see the rooftop exhibit at the MET, what a view!!! And don't forget, there is NO entrance fee, that $25 is optional so give what you want.
