My only complaint limited time here but we took a quick taxi to Butchart gardens. First there and the gardens were the most beautiful I have ever seen. Surpasses them all and I’ve visited the Biltmore gardens, Texas gardens. It was amazing. We flew through town as it was getting dark but enjoyed.

No excursion but we took the shuttle to town and walked around. What a beautiful city! We went inside the Empress Hotel for a cocktail and it was just gorgeous! The time in this port was way to short ... I think we were there for only 4 hours.

Burchart Gardens. Not enough time at this port. Need to be there at least 8 or more hours to experience the Gardens and Victoria Canada.

Pretty. The hop-on-hop off buses, and tour buses, leave from in front of the Empress, but don't go as frequently as one might expect from Euro experiences. We lucked-into a CVS tour bus with only 8 people and a good guide, that went to all the places we wanted, incl. the "Castle," (really a manor-house), and the view point, with a bonus ride through lovely area of big homes in Oak Bay. Tip: the pub up the street from the Empress that is supposed to be Irish is not traditional, more a gastro-pub (with Nachos, o'mi'gosh!) and the "Irish Stew" isn't.
