Knowing extremely little about Victoria, this was a pleasant surprise. Arriving in port late in the day (4pm) it was a rush for everyone to get off the ship. Waiting for taxi service to get into town soaked up about an hour of our time after after getting off the ship. There are buses that will take you into town but we opted for the taxi to drop us at a specific location. Didn't have an opportunity for a lot of sight seeing as we had dinner reservations on the ship but enjoyed wandering a few blocks, touring the Empress Hotel and doing some quick shopping. There was a sailing event taking place that weekend so the harbor was filled with sailboats, it was a beautiful sight! Friendly people, very clean and felt very safe walking back to the ship (was only about 15 minutes, wish we knew that when we arrived!).

I love Victoria. It was beautiful there. I wish I would’ve had more time to spend there. If I ever go back I will look for a longer day at this port. But one tip I can give you is that you will need to get a cab to get to the main area. It’s only $10 for a party of four. There is a big bus at this port called hop on hop off bus that takes you around the city and you can get on and off wherever you choose. It’s not an excursion offered by the ship but it worked for us. We went through shoreexcursions.com. We also used them for our Seattle excursions.

We didn’t book an excursion, paid to take bus to town and walked around. We got a Beavertail which was so delicious, definitely try one there. Did some shopping and had lunch at a gourmet hamburger place, The Pink Bicycle and it was amazing!!!

Took the Butchart gardens tour with Princess. The gardens were beautiful, and the evening was a perfect time to visit. Our driver / tour guide was funny and made the trip to the gardens and back to the ship enjoyable. Would have liked to spend a little time in town, but we weren't in Port long enough.

Very beautiful. We arrived at the port at 7pm but did not get off the ship until 730pm due to customs needed to release the ship. Even though the line went from the middle of the ship to the other end it was quick to get off. They have 3 exits to get people off the ship as quick as possible. We did not do an excursion because the only ones available were tours. We did the touring on our own. Lots of walking. If you get a souvenior try to pay all with Canadian money or credit card so you get the exchange rate, otherwise, they will give you Canadian money back. I paid with credit card. A $14 item ended up costing me $10 US dollars.
