We got to Seattle on Friday so we were able to spend a few days exploring the city. The flowers are beautiful and the downtown area was good. There are quite a few homeless people and there was some open drug use so just make sure to keep an eye out for that. There was a police presence but it seemed like they were just there to monitor and intervene only if something happened. We were in a group of 8 people so we didn't feel threatened but I can see where a family with small kids could be concerned.

Ports of calls were ok and the weather did not cooperate. We should have selected a cruise were we could experience and see more of the glaciers.

We stayed in a condo about half a mile from pikes market and even less to the space needle. We walked to the pikes market and down to the wharf. We saw bubblegum wall and we saw the men throwing the fish within the market. (I understand they’re all over social media) We tried lots of food from the market… it was all delicious. When we rented e-bikes, that you see all over town. We rode to see the rainbow crosswalks in capital city. Then up to Kerry Park to see an awesome view of Seattle. We did walk by the space needle but did not go inside.

We had been staying here for a couple of weeks, as we have family in the area. We are quite familiar with Seatlle. This port is located in an ideal area for a quick tour of places such as Pikes Market.
