Lots to see and do

Explored this port the day prior to embarkation. Pike Place Market was a great way to spend the day and see some of the iconic sites. Expect crowds!

We did not do an excursion because we had visited Seattle back in April. Plus there wasn't enough time.

We did an excursion after leaving the ship. You really can’t trust the Seattle weather. It was foggy and we didn’t get to view Mt. Rainier from the floor of the Sky View Observatory - Columbia Center. We did see the football and baseball fields. Then we went to the Public Market Center to watch fish being thrown. Third place to stop was the Starbucks corporate office. Eye roll boring. Anyway, got dropped off at the airport without problem. Also, forgot, the bus line tour guide had covid, the company didn’t get us another guide, the bus driver couldn’t drive and use the microphone at the same time. We didn’t get any interesting information as we rode through the city.

Last day of the cruise we had a late flight out and an 8:30am disembarkation, so we spent the day walking around Seattle and using their public transport to move around. Buy a day pass for $8 to get around, it’s worth it. The transit app does it all, even shows you how to go wherever you want, including walking directions before and after the trip. At the end of the day, use the light rail to for straight to the airport. Check out the view at the Seattle Museum of Asian Art, picnic at Volunteer park next door, then tackle downtown. Plenty to see and do.

Saved a little money by taking the train from the airport to downtown Seattle ($3 I think) then an Uber from there to the cruise port.
