Port was easy to get luggage and go through customs. Transfer to airport was very easy. Had buses ready to take you there.

We walked over to the Seaport Village, visiting shops and buying gifts and souvenirs.

We prepaid for parking right across from the port. We have been to San Diego many times so did not do an excursion.

Good, but not great. Love San Diego but the length of time should be extended when in port. As long as LA would help. Lots of things to do there but not enough time in my opinion. Arriving early does not help as many of the tourist venues do not open until later.

The old Santa Fe Train Station is within walking distance of the port. Pick up the trolleys to Old Town, not my favorite, the Gaslight District with lots of shops & restaurants, Balboa Park & SD Zoo, and Mission Beach where Sea World resides. Or try a quick train trip to Salano Beach or Oceanside.
