We didn't explore the port too much, unfortunately, as we only got in the night before our sailing and we were exhausted from a day of driving and flying. It is an expensive port to fly to, and I think we would opt to sail out of somewhere a little more affordable to get to. It was cool sailing down the Mississippi though!

The port is right down town. Easy to see thing before or after your cruise.

It’s really cool sailing along the Mississippi River. Try to stay up and watch as the ship leaves the muddy water and enters the Gulf. It is neat to watch the muddy and blue waters mixing.

This was our first cruise, our honeymoon. I’ve never been to New Orleans like my husband has. It was a little frightening to me seeing a lot of people holding signs basically yelling at you to park at their sketchy parking lot for the week. We ended up finding a garage that had video surveillance and paid $100 for the week, it was right across from the terminal. Had no problems when we returned, either. Only downfall for that garage was the elevators were very old so if you had too much luggage, you couldn’t use it. There was food close by, which earned the third star for my rating. If we sail out of NO again, I’d like to explore a little more. The terminal was VERY fast paced and it seemed like we were running through because they were directing us quickly. We had a spa suite so I’m guessing that sped up our process. It was a little confusing and we ended up somehow carrying all of our luggage onboard. But once we got seated in the special lounge area, it was great. Complimentary snacks and beverages.

We loved our cruise aboard the breeze! Beautiful ship, more to do than we could possibly take advantage of and the staff was impeccable! Oh, the food was great. It’s been most two years since that first cruise and we are excited to be sailing again in 96 days aboard her sister ship, the Dream! We can’t wait. My only regret was not discovering the world of cruising a very long time ago!
